The Shish Kabob (also spelled kebap, kabob, kebob, or kababs) originated in the Middle east during the late 17th century. My Burger Daddy has taken this time honored way of cooking meats over an open flame or coals by allowing a stainless steel rack to keep the Shish Kabobs off the grill to prevent sticking. Unlike the Doner Kebab which is typically cooked vertically this Shish Kabob set cooks horizontally. The My Burger Daddy Stainless Steel Shish Kabob set cooks all types of meats. Some of the potential kabobs include beef, chicken, lamb, goat, pork, fish, scallops or wild game. The normal application is for kabobs on the grill, however it works perfectly fine in the oven when used with a sheet tray and parchment paper. The set of 6 Shish Kabob Skewers are 14 inches long which provides for 1 serving. If using a gas grill, the shish kabobs work best if placed over the burner.

perfect shish kabob set!
This is a wonderful Shish Kabob set! I hate being wasteful and we have a big package of the wooden sticks but I'm tired of them splintering or braking. These metal ones are perfect. They're stronger, stainless, washable, plus I'm not worried about braking them when trying to get tough pieces of fruit or potatoes on which means no hand punctures and no more wooden splinters in food. The bonus rack that comes with them is awesome as well, since I can still cook in the oven when the weather isn't cooperating to run the grill, (or when Jeff isn't here since weather or not, I don't operate the grill. lol). Plus, the way the rack folds up makes it very convenient to store in the silverware drawer. Although the roasted marshmallows I tried in the oven eventually split and fell off (only due to lack of turning), they still got that flavor that made them perfect for Smores! I'm excited that I was able to receive this item at a discount in return for my honest review; but even without the discount, I would definitely buy these again.

Works ok, but there should be a latch to keep the rack open so it doesn't bend closed and all the skewers fall off!
I love making kabobs in the summer on the grill, but every time I'm about to grill I realize I am out of the wooden skewers, or that I forgot to soak them in water first. This always sets my dinner time back due to having to run to the store or soak the skewers! I've been wanting a metal set of skewers for a while now. I was worried that the meat and veggies would be too crowded on the rack, but they turned out ok. I just made sure to cut the pieces a little smaller. It's nice that if I cut them too big sometime, that I can still us the skewers without the rack to space them out a little more. One problem is that I tend to make more skewers than what's provided, so I'll still have to buy some more metal ones, or keep some wooden ones on hand for when I have company and am making extra. I like that they are stainless steel, so hopefully they will last a long time and won't rust. The rack also folds in half, and when you open it to lay the skewers on it there is no latch to keep it held open. If you pick it up on the wrong sides, it folds closed! So all the skewers fall off. I had to edit my review to add this-- pretty frustrating. Overall it's ok. I think I'll just use the skewers without the rack, and in that case, I can purchase a set cheaper elsewhere.I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest, unbiased review.
