Can you use this inverted for a bead board ceiling?

That bead board is usually thin, soft pine. AND I wouldn’t use it upside down for much of anything in case it falls. So the logical choice would be don’t try it. 🙄

What is its smallest incremental movement in inches ?

I just measured it and it's about 1/8". I found at times, that wasn't enough resolution, so I would press down on the lever with one hand and nail with the other. Not too fancy, but it worked.
