SleepTight 3D Contoured Sleep Mask and Ear Plugs

I had high expectations when I first decided to order this, it seemed to be of very good quality and based on the many other reviews I saw, other people claimed that it worked perfectly. When I first put it on I was quite disappointed to find out that the part the was supposed to conform and cover the bridge of my nose did not fit perfectly and let in some light. This is my biggest qualm with the product, as I expected it to work flawlessly. The make of the mask itself is very good and I like how it gives room for the eyes while being worn. I also found it very comfortable to wear while sleeping. The earplugs that come with the mask are like any cheap ones you would find at a store and didn't help all that much. Overall, I do prefer sleeping with the mask as opposed to no mask since it does block out almost all the light, but if I needed this mask to sleep during the day I would probably buy another product.

This product is comfortable enough. It breathes well, and doesn't let light through. Even if I have the lights on in the room, the mask blocks the light out practically completely. Unfortunately, my nose is a bit small for this mask. There is a significant amount of light leak through the nose of this mask for me. The earplugs that come with the mask aren't worth mentioning. I won't use them because I have my own that I like.

Pretty impressed with this sleep mask! Until now I would have believed all sleep masks are essentially equal but this is actually really nice and I think I will be able to wear this and keep it on!I had worked in a hospital psychiatric unit and for a time worked third shift. I tried regular sleep masks to sleep in the daytime but I could not STAND the mask pressing (well it was probably just touching, but it felt like pressing) against my eyes. It just did not feel right and either I would not sleep well or I would just take it off and live with it. This one is really comfortable on! So different than any mask I have used! Why?- Deep eye cups! These do not touch your eyes at all - and I am sensitive to this as we have already established.- Dark. Even not touching your eyes everything is dark. These could be used as a blindfold.- Fabric is super soft as is the filling. I did not feel this once I settled in and fell asleep.- Satiny storage bag ~ these are probably not something you want getting dirty and dusty.- Adjustable velcro strap is super easy to use yourself and comfortable. Lays nice and flat.I will definitely be using these and just can not get over how light and comfortable they are! Can recommend these to those with weird sensitivities or not!Can't speak for anyone else, but I try to take my reviews seriously ~ I know how much I count on them when I am buying, especially online! UPDATED REVIEW (late August 2016)After moderate use of this sleep mask (average of 2-3 nights a week), the outer fabric rips and starts falling apart. I have had other sleep masks in the past and used more heavily than this one, never fell apart. The only good side of this sleep mask is that the elastic bands are not loose and they are as tight as I have received. Will I purchase again? I am not really sure if I want to spend ~$10 bucks for a mask that would fall apart in 2.5 months.******PREVIOUS REVIEW (early June 2016)Many years ago, I got a sleep blindfold from an airplane vanity kit, and have been using it since. The double elastic bands have loosen up and very difficult to shield out all the light. Finally, I gave up on it and decided to purchase a more well made blindfold. After reading all the reviews of the different products on Amazon, I decided to purchase this one. The product arrived on time. I opened it and it looks like it is made with durable material. The first night of use I could smell the chemical smell from it. The smell quickly went away after one night's use. It does it purpose of blocking the light out, and it's quite comfortable. The single thick band looks durable with velcro at the end. It fit perfectly for my big head. The mask stays in place the entire night.

I have two complaints about this product. The first is that soft fabric that is stitched inside of the blindfold came off within about a week. My second complaint is that someone took a marker and marked through one of the words “sleep” on the blindfold.

Sleep mask works as advertised. Great for if you're a night shift worker or if you want to sleep on the plane. I for one consider this a perfect solution for both scenarios. Comes with a nice little bag (I don't really know why, it's not much to actually contain.) The velcro on the back to connect the strap I feel is unnecessary, it will fit snugly for most heads I believe.Earplugs: a nice touch. They work well enough, but I never wake up with them still in. I gotta search my bed and the floor for them.

I live in Alaska and have to get up around 3am for work, so that means I go to bed pretty early in the evening. With the amount of daylight we have up here, a sleep mask or blackout curtains are a must. I found that this mask lets in quite a bit of light around the nose and also found the strap to be very uncomfortable on my ears. I returned to Amazon and went back to my free mask I got on a Jet Blue flight.
