Waverly Navarra Farmhouse Scalloped Valance Rod Pocket Window Curtain for Kitchen or Bathroom, 52" x 16", Antique

I bought this for my father’s assisted living apartment. Window treatments must have a white back. After failing to find anything he liked in stores I found this one on Amazon and he loved it. There were issues though (photos included):1) The valance failed the requirements at the facility as the red seams show on the back.2) The fabric is thin and bled in the packaging - something to keep in mind when cleaning or putting against a wall or layered on shears.3) There are multiple snags in the fabric. Still, from a distance they won’t be noticed.4) The casement pocket seams are poor quality. The tension on the sewing machine was off.5) I spent an hour ironing the valance to get the wrinkles out. Plus, the binding on the bottom edge doesn’t follow the curve well so that takes extra attention.I added a white backing to the balance which got it approved and gave it more volume on the window. I also stitched over the casement stitching to make it more substantial.So, I spent 2 hours and another $6 In supplies to finish the window treatment but it looks nice. But, if my father hadn’t liked it I would have returned it immediately because it wasn’t worth the extra time and effort. Still, I only paid $5.49 for the valance and knew I wasn’t getting a super high quality item but with the Waverly name on it I had my finger crossed.I gave the item 3 stars for the pretty print and low price. I took 2 stars off for quality.

I ordered 2 valances. I like the pattern and colour, but the material above the hem line on one item was damaged (approx 3” line of torn material) and is impossible to repair.

The colors and pattern as pictured. It’s pretty but it’s very thin. Material was not as expected. Good value for price.

the colors were accurate, but the workmanship was less than. from one end of the curtain to the other, the rod pocket opening varied from (scant) 2” to less than 1/3/4”; which is an issue when the curtain rod is exactly 2”. in order to use them, i had to take out stitches on one end.

I found this valance very pretty and almost an exact match to a duvet cover that I've had for years. I never had valances to match until I found this style by Waverly, so I purchased two for my bedroom windows. The ensemble looks great and I'm very pleased about that.
