wheel is easy to turn
I got this mouse to replace the old microsoft mouse and keyboard duo.Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 The old mouse was the 5000, but that one had a wheel that was hard to turn. This one turns very freely and quickly. I was glad I was not put off by reading that some people did not like the turning wheel. I took a chance because this mouse is very low priced. Sometimes the mouse moves too fast. I have to learn to adjust to a more responsive mouse compared to the older 5000.I did not need any new drivers to install it. I opened the box, put the battery in and connected the blue tooth. It worked at once without any fuss. This while color is cheaper then the other colors. I don't know why the while color is two dollars cheaper. The white is easy to see on my dark colored desk, so I like the white. I want to be able to find the mouse very quickly. But, now when I buy a new key board, I am going to have to two usb ports blocked up. My computer has only three ports in front, unless I buy a hub. Hubs don't work that well. I wish I had a new board in white to match this mouse, so I could have more free usb ports. One for the key board, one for the mouse, one for the bose portable speakers so I can listen to music or audio programs in any room of the house and all the front ports are taken up. The only change I would make would be for it to come with a white keyboard.

Worst mouse I've ever owned
Over the past 30 some odd years I've preferred Microsoft mice over any of the others I've tried but this new Wireless Mobile Mouse 6000 is absolutely the worst mouse I've ever used.It feels cheaply made. The first one I ordered worked for a few minutes then froze on my iMac. So I brought it over to my PC laptop and it worked there for all of a few minutes then also froze. I returned it to Amazon for another one (Amazon return process was very easy). The new one came and worked for a few months but has now started freezing again. The solution has been to unplug and re-install the USB dongle, sometimes it takes several attempts but it will start working again. I have to go through this routine once or twice a day. All drivers, system and other software are up to date. When I switch back to one of my other 4 Microsoft mice (3 older wireless laptop, one wireless Explorer desktop) all is well again. If I could return this for a refund or exchange for another model I would in a split second.

Didn't like the ergonomics
My old Intellimouse broke, so needed a new wireless for my Mac desktop (note: I'm not looking for a portable, laptop mouse). Picked this one up, but right away I didn't like the shape of it. It's very curved across the top; it reminds me of a VW bug. It just didn't feel right to me, mainly because it wasn't long enough and the middle was too high. Also, the back and forward buttons do not sit under where my fingers naturally fall, so I would have to readjust a little any time I wanted to use them. It also doesn't make sense to me to put one on the right side, since I never use my ring finger or pinky to click. But it is ambidextrous.I sent this one back, and picked up the Logitech 510. I really like that mouse better, and it fits my hand comfortably and naturally. The 510 has a shape similar to my old Intellimouse, with a nice curved area for my thumb, and the back forward buttons are right where they should be, both on the left side, right under where my thumb rests. The MS 6000 would probably work well for someone looking to use it as a left hand or right hand mouse, but other than that, it wasn't for me.

It's alright
This mouse looks cool/cute (I have the white one), and it was pretty cheep. I actually got it for free because I use swagbucks and I always get the amazon credits. It does work on every surface I've tested it out on, my favorite is the bed sheet. The buttons are not very smooth when clicking, the scroll has no "clicking" while scrolling, it's just a smooth motion. This is actually not a great feature for me, as I like to use the middle button to open new tabs and about 90% of the time the button will slip and I will misdirect my click. Honestly, the middle mouse button annoys me, a lot.. but it was free.It doesn't have a great range on the wireless. I have to make sure it's near my computer, even at my desk, or it will get very jumpy and become almost impossible to use. It's alright.. I would never "game" with it, and if you care at all about the performance of computer equipment I wouldn't recommend it. (If you use a computer casually, to only check emails and look at your grandchild's pictures for example, then it would be ok.)UPDATE 11/5/2011After using this little mouse for a few months, I have to say that the middle mouse button still bothers me. However, I was wrong about the range. I can use it easily from 20 feet away (like a remote to my computer while watching Netflix or something)Update 11/12/2011The battery just died. Just over 2 months of normal use, and I always turn it off when I am not using it. So.. not bad.Update 12/2/2011Piece of crap! I am taking a star away because this scroll button is becoming impossible to use without annoying the crap out of me! The only thing I dislike more than this mouse is using the track pad on my laptop, therefore I will leave 2 stars because it is better than that. If I was like the majority, those whom like using their track pads, I would recycle this mouse right now without thinking twice! Damn the cost! (If I had paid for it)If you use your middle mouse button for clicking links for new tabs, don't bother buying this mouse.Update 5/26/2012So, I am giving this mouse 1 star back, because I still use it. So, it must not be that bad. It's still pretty bad; I am just so accustom to it that I like it on some small level.12/2/2014I still use this mouse.
