but still soft boot feels comfortable, like good soft casual shoes
I'm a very beginner, so I cannot evaluate all features, just my impression. It's for a moment very positive. 1)Real size matches to sizes indicated in table, so no problem with sizing. 2)My ankles are skinny, but the boots hold them tight enough and can be adjusted to even tighter if someone needs. Laces are not needed at all, I just don't use them. 3)I have a bone desease "halus valgus", when the bone next to tumb is very big, but still soft boot feels comfortable, like good soft casual shoes, so I can recommend them for those with varicose or feet bones problems. Also I have different lenth of legs, and I inserted a 1" high special insole in one boot, and it still feels comfortable and doesn't influence perfomance.4) About performance I haven't much to say... They are rolling )) No strange effects or sounds discovered so far. They are pretty stable, so when you put them on, you can stand up on them without fall down immediately, they will "wait" untill you ready to go and if needed you can just walk in it by usual steps, for example to cross bad road area, which may be important for beginners like me. Skates are not trying to kill you, they are nice and behave well )5) Look. I ordered men's size 10.5, because female 11 doesn't exist. I was afraid that they will look giant, but not, feet looks compact and it's not too visible they are not really for women.A little cons: *Buckle's plastic looks thin, fragile and like not for long heavy use. Hope I'm wrong.* Black plastic outer part of boot is easy to scratch even without major incidents or collisions.Overall I recommend.

Great beginner to intermediate skate with enough speed to keep it interesting
Ample ankle support, quality construction. Size was perfect as advertised. The wheels that come with these skates are a good compromise in hardness, allowing skating on a range of surfaces... soft enough for smooth surfaces and hard enough to stand up to paved trails.

Great Skates!
Really loved mine for the month I had them before they were stolen. First new pair of skates since the mid 90's. They weigh about half what I remember and are so smooth and comfortable. I wish they would make the 90mm model in this color scheme.

Exactly what was expected
The chart for measuring the size was accurate, and the size 9 men's skate was correct, and fits perfectly. It has been a number years since I was on online skates. The Macroblade 84 was a nice upgrade from the previous Rollerblades I owned, with a soft boot held in place by a frame that allows air to help keep the foot comfortable. The technical manual does not quite match the skate design I received, but with a little help from a video I learned the lacing technique for a lacelock, and the skate stays securely in place via the lace, the velcro strap, and the buckle. Well worth the money for the enjoyment of exercising on skates.

Great skates with durable wheels for fitness use
I'm used to K2 products, which typically provide a more comfortable soft boot than Rollerbade products, but I really dislike the new lacing features on the K2's 84mm skates. So, I decided to give these Rollerblade Macroblades as try. It took a couple months for the boots to break in, but now I can skate 10-20 mile sessions without getting blistered. Surprisingly, I got a lot of mileage from the equipped 85a wheels too.

Great beginner skate!
Great skate. It's easy for a complete beginner to learn on these and they're really good for a beginner skate. I definitely recommend them. They're also very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

One design decision ruins everything... (see pictures)
Here's the thing. I have slightly wider feet and these still feel like they have enough room, which is great. But the problem is that the freaking material just ends halfway up the liner (from heel to toe). So the back half of the boot is cushy and firm and the mid to front is not as cushy and has more room for your foot. This is incredibly noticeable on the inside of the boot along the arch (where the transition happens). It's absolutely horrendous. It just stops. From cushion. To nothing. So with my arch, the back half of the arch is squeezed like crazy and front half feels fine but has less support. There's no subtlety to the transition and it's jarring in the foot and feels terrible. To confirm this was the problem I attempted to correct it by inserting a folded section of paper towel in the boot to try and make the transition smoother, and what do you know? It fixed it. Problem is, I can't keep a freaking paper towel insert in the boot every time I want to use these. It'll shift and break down. They should have sorted this in the design phase.Long story short, the liner is designed wrong. If they would sew it properly and create a smoother transition they would be great, but, I can't keep them, sadly. I called the store I ordered them from and they said they're made to just work out of the box--no break-in. These definitely feel like they need breaking in to me, which likely means the fit is way off from my foot. So, again, if you have slightly wider feet and a mid-arch (any arch, really, even flat feet), beware. Beware. Beware. It sucks, too, because they look great otherwise, really well made. Just this one design decision rules them out for me. Back to the drawing board, I guess. :(
