love this thing
always made no sense to me to put your tuner on the headstock. this makes sense to me, and it's less ugly too.

Good but not durable
The tuner works fine and provides the option to change the tuning frequency/pitch. Tuning is very easy and straightforward. I keep it in my guitar sound hole and is small enough to not affect playability and is not noticeable. The reason I deducted one star is because mine stopped working after just over a year so its durability is suspect.

Loose fit? Make a cardboard shim.
When I received this tuner about 20 minutes ago, I had the same problem others had. I would press the power button and it would slip around. The fit was not very tight. Also, my low B string (it's a baritone guitar) wouldn't register very well. I had to hit the B rather hard to get it to track. So to fix this, I tightened the fit by using the cardboard that came with the tuner to create a shim to go between the guitar body and the clip. (See pictures.) I cut it to the shape of the clip so that it's not very visible unless you really look. The tightened fit also made the low B track better thanks to better transmission of the vibration from the clip to the peizo electric sensor. To me this seems like an understandable problem. They had to design the tuner to fit a wide range of guitars and some guitars have thicker tops than others. They had to accommodate the thickest possible top. If I were them, I would include some pre-made shims in the packaging for this circumstance. Then people would have nothing to complain about. But even then, it is a very easy problem to fix if you are creative and handy.

great design by Steinberger
I finally decided to get a clip on tuner for convenience, though never liked the idea of having one hanging off my headstock. I play acoustic nylon string guitars so read a few comparison reviews to find the best one when i came across the sound hole tuner and decided to try it, though it's not fancy or expensive. At first I thought the clip was too small and would not work. My top has a brace about 1/4" inside the hole so it stops the clip from going all the way on. But all you have to do is move it around the hole a little to get away from the brace, say from 6 o clock to 7 o clock, which provides a little better viewing angle anyway so works out.I was thinking what a good design it is when I noticed it's a Ned Steinberger design, the guy who did the Steinberger headless bass. It's not just a tuner, but a great tuner by a great designer and company, and I can get in tune easy without having one of those things clipped to my headstock. Really glad I took a chance on this tuner. They say you'll "want one for every guitar". Yeah, I'm getting another for my Flamenco.

Practically invisible to everyone but me
Every acoustic guitar player should have this tune. It never falls off and gets lost. And I've had it 9 months and haven't had to replace the battery yet. When I do take it out I have to remember to turn the guitar upsidedown so it doesn't fall inside.

Good While it Lasted
Great while it lasted, but unfortunately after a few years the clip literally just fell apart and broke. I had it on the same guitar and never took it off but one day it just snapped and fell apart. It worked great until then but I wish they used a more durable material.
