Great recipes - beautiful to look at cookbook!
I have already made 2 recipes from this beautiful book which I was introduced to by my cookbook club! Assembling the Mushroom Moussaka (p210) was a mind-blowing experience and I felt compelled to do one of the few fig recipes --the Fig & Peach Tart (p271), even though fresh figs were not to be found anywhere this season! I used dried figs and peaches --both recipes turned out beautifully and most importantly - tasted delicious! One thing that surprised me --- I would have thought the author would have donated a small portion of the profits to the cause of helping the plight of the refugees which she describes and images so poignantly!

One of the best cookbook of 2021
Wow, what ever you diet is, this book is amazing. The recipes are flavourful, and the stories too. There was an online launch, it was such a great night. One of my fave this year so far.

Rich on pictures and stories
Various recipes with high quality pictures. Enriched with stories from the countries of eastern mediterranean area. Some of recipes already tested and we have been very satisfied.

Precioso libor de recetas e historias del Mediterráneo Oriental
El libro es muy bonito, las recetas muy apetitosas (no he hecho ninguna todavía) y buenas fotografías de casi todos los platos. Intercala recetas de Grecia, Turquía y Chipre con textos de los viajes y experiencias de la autora cuando viajó por esos lugares. Es a la vez un libro de viajes gastronómicos y un recetario. No abusa de fotos personales como en otros libros de cocina de algunos autores, que solo sacan retratos. Salen fotos de los lugares que visita. Lo recomiendo para el que le guste la cocina mediterránea y los viajes. Para leer y también para cocinar.
