Hi I have not tried the product yet. But I wanted to gift it and it came dented.

Quickly forms a creamy, lubricating lather for a smooth, comfortable shave. The only complaint is the scent isn't quite what I expected. Rather than a clove-scented bay rum, its base scent is more anise / licorice-like. It doesn't smell bad -- its simply different the 'traditional' bay rum scent (Pinaud Clubman Bay Rum, etc).

This is the nostalgic barbershop smell! It’s great! But, that is second place to the lather. The lather is top tier! None better! 10/10!

Performance-wise, it lathers up incredibly quickly. I’ve used a lot of traditional tallow barber soaps in the past, and this one honestly lasts longer than any of them. You don't need much product to get a rich, protective foam. Pro Tip: To get the best results, you really gotta use this with a badger shaving brush. It whips up the lather perfectly.
