Q: Is there any difference in this newer version? Or does just the packaging look different?

The front half is much thinner, so these are more useful in shoes with smaller toe boxes. Same support and cushioning in the back half. Just keeps smaller toe boxes from feeling cramped. I like these in my dress shoes and the regular ones in my sport shoes.

Q: I need size 6 womens. How do I order for women?

I would try ordering a size 7.5 for men and then you can trim it down with scissors if needed. The gel pads are made to be trimmed.

Q: Can you put these insoles on top of orthotics or is it too thick?

Depends on you’re shoes but I think it should be fine because the thick park is where the heel is so it should be fine.
