Works great, would be nicer if mounting hole was centered
Bought a used RAM 1500, and the previous owner had installed some tacky looking vent visors. I removed the visors fairly easy, but they left behind some horrid adhesive mounting tape that was REALLY stuck on, solvents were useless. So I bought this 3M eraser wheel and just used it to remove all that sticky, gooey tape residue. The 3M wheel worked great. I got everything off pretty quickly, then used some solvent to clean, and then went to local car wash because my truck was covered in bits of debris. The 3M wheel worked as advertised, it strips that residue off with no problem and did not do any damage to any surfaces. MY ONLY gripe is that the drive-mounting hole was not centered perfectly in the wheel. The instructions say to use a rasp file and spin the wheel against a file to true it up, but honestly, the wheel is rather expensive and I would have thought they'd have a manufacturing method to get that hole centered perfectly in the first place. I never was able to get the wheel perfectly trued, but it still did the job.

Helped with glass adhesive removal
This worked really well for removing adhesive from an excavator door to replace broken glass. The glass adhesive was difficult to completely remove with anything, but this (on an electric drill) made the most progress over several other options. It safely removed only the glue without damaging the underlying paint at all. The wheel wore only about 1/3 for that job. A can of 3M adhesive remover helped too, but the old formula WD-40 worked better. This was my first time replacing broken glass.

Pay the higher price for the 3M
The compound this wheel is made of was perfect for the adhesive tape left behind from body molding removal. Made quick work of the job. Within a half hour had the truck body cleaned up.

TCP 1/8th the price almost as good
Worked well did the job, had a huge oxidized faded decal on front of 5th wheel that needed removed. However this is very pricey in comparison to the TCP, you can get 4 of those wheels for half the price so for 1/8th the price you are buying a PRC made item over 3M made in Mexico. Your choice I blew through 3 of the TCP and 2 3M wheels performed very comparabe, both was way better than the other style mividie "eraser" type

This 3M eraser works awesome and will do a whole car!
This 3M eraser is well worth the bucks. Don't buy a cheap one. It lasts a long time and will do a whole car. I removed all the old caked on double 10 inch wide Racing stripes off my Dodge challenger without any damage to the paint! I couldn't have done it without it. Only thing bad about It, I have to say is that it is not truly round, so as per the instructions, I put it on the drill press and spun it about 1750 Rpm and used a rasp to true it round. Apply very light pressure and move the rasp up and down and it will true it round. After that, it works like a charm at low speeds with a cordless drill. Thumbs up π. Yes I do recommend it! Just be prepared cause it's a job, one square at a time!

Works great and I saved $236.50
I have a 2020 Tacoma and it's dark gray with silver pin stripes. I've never been a fan of pin stripe decals as it tends to take away from the body lines. Now the metallic paint really highlights the subtle lines. I had a relatively easy job as I only had to remove narrow double stripes. In less than one hour I had a nice uncluttered Tacoma. I was very careful because I was worried about burning the clear coat. I used a Porter Cable battery powered drill that maxes at 1600 rpm. It was a perfect match for this wheel. There was no paint distress and it looked perfect where the stripes were. I used goo gone for cleaning any eraser residual. I bought this wheel two years ago, but was afraid to use it. I recently took the truck to a local body shop and they wanted to charge for 4 hours labor at $55/hr ($220 plus tax). I watched several youtube videos and decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did.

Could 3M make this more out of round?
The wheel worked good only AFTER I SPENT 30 MINUTES making it round/concentric to the arbor. Quality control is disappointing. I paid a premium for the 3M product with expectations of quality. The wheel was 3/16" different from high to low spot. It could not be used out of package as it would shake your tool violently. I expect better when I purchase 3M products. For the price of this product, the factory should spin it in house and grind off the high spots so I can use it when I open the package.
