My mother is in the severe stage of dementia. It's sometimes difficult for her to keep her torso upright. This product has helped when she's on the wheelchair. It's very well constructed.

It was overall good but the elderly/disabled can get choked if slide down when seated.

Love this vest but if not done properly. This maybe a choke hazard. I had mine cut and sew to create a deeper V. This is not for use if placed on the person and they are left alone.

This vest does not work if your intention where to keep the person in a wheelchair upright, prevent them from falling forward. It will keep the person striped down, but on a small person the tighter you pull on the over the shoulder straps the higher the vest's neck line comes up, which then chokes the person. I cut a cross-section out at that point where the vest and neck meet, but don't resolve the choking issue.I'll hang on to this, because it does have nice wide and long straps, which I'll use for something else.

Work wonders

Does not work for my very small and super thin adult daughter with her wheelchair. In order to be snug enough to feel secure, the vest has to be tightened almost all the way to the actual vest which then chokes her. I need to return this and find something different.
