Linksys Mesh Wifi 6 Router, Dual-Band, 3,000 Sq. ft Coverage, 40+ Devices, Speeds up to 6.0Gbps - MR9600 (Renewed), 1-Pack

I bought this router to replace an eight year old Linksys dual band router that had issues. I was hesitant to buy a refurbished unit but decided to give it a try and it works perfectly. I like the new technology that automatically selects the router speed based on the device it is connected to. So far it is working fine and is a big improvement over my old router. Edit: After using this router for a few days I realized that, even though it was an improvement over my old router, it wasn’t providing optimum performance for the size of my house (2000 sq ft). I returned it and ordered a different Linksys router (MR9610) which is designed to cover more area and is a WIFI 6 router. I’m now receiving a much stronger and faster signal in my family room, which is 50’ and 4 rooms away from the router.

The router that my alleged cable company rented me... stinks. Constant drops, connection issues, etc. My Steam Deck never connected properly to the 5g. So I got this. Setup was a bit complicated. I admit I don't know routers and networking that well, but I have some experience. The smartphone app seemed limited at first but it's just because I wasn't familiar with it. I was eventually able to connect the old fashioned way, through a browser, but only from my pc. Once I was in, I was able to split the bands properly and tweak the experience. That was day 1. I haven't had a single connection issue since that day. Even my beloved Deck stays reliably connected to 5g and I'm finally able to stream from my pc properly, without any lag, over wifi. Price was good and it performs beautifully for my needs. My only complaint is that there's no way to alter the radio frequency of the 5g bands, to fully eliminate interference from my many neighbors. But my router puts out a strong enough signal that this hasn't been an issue. I very much recommend this router.

Pros: 1. This was a refurbished item yet it looked like brand new. 2. It worked; i.e., not DOA out of the box. 3. Very fast. 4. Strong signal. 5. Good customer service. Cons: 1. No documentation or instructions. Only a Quick start guide that said to download the app. Worthless info for people who do not have IOS or Android. 2. You have to create an account with Linksys in order to use the app. 3. The router would not work until it was activated with an email link from Linksys. I was able to set the router up easily using the app, but had questions about having to use the app. Every other Linksys router that I've owned was configurable via a web browser and no internet connection. I called CS and a very nice girl in Manila guided me through the browser admin steps. You must first type 192.168.1.1 into the address field and hit enter. A window will open telling you to download the app. There is a link below that that says "Continue to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi". Click on that and it will take you to a log in window where you will enter the 5 digit Recovery Key found on the bottom of the router. It will take you to another page. In the lower far right corner there is a link that's labeled "CA". Click on that and the configuration page will appear, finally. Reset your admin password so that you don't have to use the Recovery Key the next time you want to administer the router. It can be the same password as the wifi login password. Now you can do anything that the app can do, but lots faster and more securely. Linksys obviously wants to push everyone toward their app, for the usual reasons. This feature already exists, so they should have included instructions on how to access it. If this refurbished router holds up over time then it will be a great bargain.

Awesome little router. Easy to setup

This router turned out to be really good. I searched a lot before buying it, and this one was the most affordable option. After using it, the performance was actually better than I expected. So far, I’m satisfied

I would leave negative stars if i could. I followed the instructions precisely. But it will not stop flashing, will not allow me to connect, will not allow me to set up. A waste of money. I’d ask to return it, but I know it’s useless because Amazon will charge me more to return their broken crap than they’d ever refund me. Absolutely sick and tired of being ripped off. I just have to eat $75. Bezos must be so very pleased.

Was easy to set up, very good customer support and works great.

Had Google WiFi router (1st gen) for few years and it worked fine in old days. It became most unreliable with dropping signals now and make it difficult to attend meetings. Explored few months for possible ling term future agnostic router and this one fit the bill. Signal is stable and providing reliable consistent performance and 3x speed than what Google Wifi offered same location. Only thing I need to see if it can last at least 5 years as Google WiFi did 7 years for me.

Buena potencia de señal y facil de configurar

He comprado diversos productos Linksys, tenia mis dudas con este ya que fue reacondicionado, pero me trague esas dudas, el producto funciona de maravilla, tengo con mi proveedor de internet 300 Mbps y son los mismos que reparte a mis aparatos (claro, segun el dispositivo), tiene excelente estabilidad, su aplicacion es muy intuitiva y si no tienes alguna configuracion especial como por ejemplo un DVR o algun acceso especial no tendras problema, solo conectas la linea de internet, abres tu aplicacion y sigues las instrucciones. Muy recomendable

Odiaba mi sistema mesh de linksys, tenía que cambiar continuamente de lugar los 5 módulos en una casa de 2 pisos y planta baja, construcción de ladrillo. Coloque el módem a la mitad de la casa y funcionó por completo incluyendo el timbre wifi y las cámaras wifi. Al principio la instalación no se lograba reconocía algunos módulos y otros no, hasta que borre por completo la configuración e inicie de cero con modificación de password, algo que había hecho muchas veces antes de instalar este módem incluyendo el cambio de proveedor de internet y modems. Probablemente los nuevos mesh de linksys sean más potentes pero con este módem no tuve que cambiar los módulos de 1a generación.

Works as it should. We put it inside of our metal shop and connected to our main router via cat6 Ethernet cord buried underground. Phenomenal internet inside of the shop. Can game, stream and use phones with 0 issues.

El equipo vino en caja sellada con etiquetas de producto reacondicionado directamente de Linksys, el router parece nuevo y trae todos sus accesorios, yo lo utilicé para actualizar mi Red Wi-Fi 5 a Wi-Fi 6, sustituyó a tres Velop WHW01, ahora tengo este router como nodo principal conectado en malla con un MR7310 cómo nodo hijo para una casa de dos pisos.
