I installed the carburetor and had to adjust a little on the idle setting screw and the pilot valve.4 wheeler starts right up every time! Even after sitting a couple of days, no issues so far.

replaced carburetor on 300 Honda four trax

replaced original carb perfectly. note the inlet it is horizontal same as the original where other replacement carb's have the inlet vertical which causes flow problem when fuel tank is below half tank.this is the first one I found that matched the original Honda carb perfectly.

The picture of the carburetor is not what you get. The fuel inlet tube comes out straight and not at a 45 deg.and pinches the fuel line. and it would not throttle up.

Picture shows my original REMOVED carb, held up beside the installed new Pucky carb. The original carb’s brass fuel line connector (circled) extends at an angle, approaching parallel to the carb body. Amazon PICTURES of the Pucky carb showed that same “angled” brass connector. However, the connector on the Pucky carb I received protrudes straight out from the carb body. As the picture shows (2nd circle), that connnector hits the plastic air intake on my ‘97 Honda Fourtrax 300 TRX. I can’t connect the fuel line.

I put this in my 1997 Honda 4trax as the old one was varnished up with old fuel and I couldn’t get the jets out. I put this on and it fit great. The quad ran okay but I needed a little adjustment once I adjusted the carb, the quad runs great.
