No light in design and the fact you have to put the glass so close tothe object to see it makes it, ironically, very hard to see anything. Probably my mistake in purchasing it as it is a good glass. It just doesn't suit my needs for looking at coins. I would have rated them a four, but they advertise it is good for coin viewing. That is a fairly tight stretch. I mean technically, yes, you can see a coin, but functionally, you don't see it in a way that is useful.
