Bought for elderly person who has extremely bad eyesight i.e. cataracts and macular degeneration. Helps her a lot , easy to use and the LED light is a real bonus making things extra clear. Would recommend.

Poor - blurred image around the outside
I was very disappointed with the blurring of the image around the outside. I sent it back.

Acquistata per visionare in modo veloce negativi in 120 e 135 mm prima della stampa in camera oscura. Avevo in precedenza la versione senza led, ma questa è molto meglio. Davvero un oggetto semplice ma molto efficace. Qualità-prezzo non proprio eccezionale dato il progetto e i materiali utilizzati, ma è un prodotto che si compra poche volte e per usi molto specifici.

Great to see fine details
As a dentist, I work on many aesthetic cases where it is important to analyze and create fine shading detail and contours. When I was searching for a loupe to help me with this, I really was looking for something that was compact, easy to use, durable, and reliable. I have owned a number of Carson Optical products in the past and each and every time their products have delivered for me. This particular product has such a well integrated light compared to the other products I was considering, which makes it so much more compact. I am able to throw it in my bag and bring it with me everywhere so I always have this handy tool. Really a great durable and well-designed product.

Works well!
This is great reading the fine print on my printed spreadsheets. As long as the text fits in a 2 x 2 inch box, you will be able to read the entire paragraph in that box. The focal length is adjustable - so you can rotate such that it gives you less eye strain. The light turns on flawlessly as soon as you touch the rotating bezel. I also like that the light is not too bright. One of the other magnifiers has too bright a light which is uncomfortable for me to look at. The 3x zoom is plenty for my purpose.
