Build Your Child's Self Confidence With This Book.
As parents we all want the best for our kids. And we want them to turn out for the best as well. That means well mannered kids, resilient to what life will throw at them, with a positive outlook on life and full of confidence in their own abilities. Well, this easy to read book shows you how to help your child develop all this, and more.As author of a parenting book, I identified with many of these ideas, ideas that will ensure your kid becomes the best kid they can be. This book is full of examples of kids who were able to be drawn out of their shells using the techniques discussed, so that they gained new friends and garnered support at school. One point I agreed with in partucular, having raised three daughters, is that each child has different strengths and unique talents and once you can find your child's inate ability, you can focus your praise in that area. And your child will blossom.Well done on this much needed book for parents today. It deserves to be in your parenting collection.

Teachers Teach Parents To Excel at Their Vital Role!
This book is written by two teachers with a combined 60 years of experience. They obviously care about kids, are passionate about the subject, and value the power of parents in their kids' lives. They address all the character qualities and virtues that parents, teachers, youth workers, and society value; things like: empathy, bravery, dependability, a good work ethic, generosity, being a good friend, compassion, and so on. What I really like is the tone of encouragement and respect toward parents. They know how vital a parent's role is in the development of each child. They use a positive tone to motivate parents toward the daunting task of parenting kids' in today's world. They give specific directives, real-world examples, and how-to instructions that any parent could put into practice to some degree. Here are a few of my favorite quotes from the book:~ "Often some simple and consistent help and guidance from you (parent) can be the answer to your child's success."~ "Everyone is capable of so much, as long as they have someone who believes in them and helps to develop the inner confidence they need to really achieve."~ "...what matters most is the belief that you instill in your child through your own words and actions. By developing this belief, you're giving them the best gift you could imagine and that is the gift of confidence."I think this book will be of great help to any parent. If parents puts the content of this book into practice, its influence will be of great help to society and our world. It's also an enjoyable read.Connie Neal, author of many books found at www.amazon.com/author/connieneal

It was okay but not really worth it and it kind of wasted my time. the only reason i gave it two stars is because it doesn't give false info and it's free.again, mehit really just talks about setting a good example and not being megativenot worth your time:(

A Must Read for All Parents
This book is an excellent resource for parents that want to raise positive, healthy children. I really loved the true stories that are shared. I have a son that tends to get anixous about stuff so the chapter on helping your child deal with aniexty was extremely helpful.

Opinion based ramblings
Completely opinion based. Rambles and is a bit boring- but can be easily skimmed. No mention of studies or research to back up suggestions. This has the substance of a pamphlet stretched into a book. Nothing harmful but save your money. Nothing fresh or well laid out here.

Even at free, it cost too much.
I got this book for free and was still disappointed in it. Simply put, it had no substance. To be fair, I did not read the whole thing, but I read about half and in that half, I found no research to support any of the suppositions of the book, nor did I find any advice that went beyond basic common sense. For example, in the chapter on resilience, the author states, "Be a good role model! This is absolutely essential as children learn by example and copy what they see. If they're witnessing you flying off the handle at the slightest upset, yelling, screaming, ranting and raving then they're going to do the same."In addition to the lack of substance, I felt that the book was poorly written and came off as unpolished and amateurish. Good writing is not as important to a self-help book as it is to a fiction book, but a little bit of editing (and a lot more research) would have improved this book, dramatically.

Loved it
I really liked reading this book, it’s so simple but yet powerful, besides teaching you about what to do, you can get helpful examples on how to help your child.

Just OK
It's just OK, I say this bc it was mostly common sense and didn't provide too many clear cut strategies for children. The parental advice was logical and a good reminder of good parenting skills but I didn't learn anything new....

Good Ideas
This book has a lot of good common sense ideas in it and reinforces a positive parenting style.I reccommend for parents with young children for a read to think a head and have easy to copewith children. I am not sure it would be so good if trying to correct problems with older children
