I use this mainly for a mask. I did buy the food grade product so I could ingest it if I chose. I have mixed this with orange-mango juice in a shaker and drank it, as you can imagine it is a bit gritty. I personally worry about mercury, lead and other toxic elements, that is why I bought the food grade. It is not supposed to have it in any detectable levels, but because of this and I am not sure what the company is u sing to teat for these (gcms?), I have only ingested it a couple of times. If I felt my body needed a full detox however I would have no issues ingesting with with a detox diet.As you put this clay on your face you can feel it drawing out the purities from your skin. Don't leave it on aNY longer than 20 to 30 minutes and only use it a couple of times a week, it can dry out areas of your skin. As you can imagine as well if you have problem areas it will draw out any pustules that may exist.I have a Friday night routine of a charcoal mask followed by this mask.

It's my first time trying calcium bentonite clay so I don't know how it is compared to other brand. It arrived 2 days later than expected but that's OK for me.I tried making facial mask and drinking with it. Regarding facial mask, the paste was very smooth so it's very gentle when applied on the skin. The feeling after washing was really great - very clean & smooth; even on the next day, my face still feels clean & not oily as usual (I have oily and acne-prone skin).Compared to other brand for edible bentonite clay, this one is much cheaper. I'm very satisfied and will order some more for my mom and sister.

This clay seems to have no adverse side effects. I have been using it for internal cleansing and it has no taste or smell when mixed. It mixes easily in water and I have no problem drinking it. Its only been a few weeks since I started using it but I do seem to have more energy and it helps with elimination. I will continue my cleansing regamin and look for more benefits.

I got this clay with the intentions of using it internally for a heavy metal detox. This clay has a slight salty taste and it tastes dusty compared to my other calcium bentonites which taste clean and slightly sweet. Usually whenever I mix my other calcium clays with water, I let them sit overnight then the next day I tap the side of the container and it gives off a nice vibration. This clay doesn't vibrate. So for those reasons I am very hesitant to take this internally. I don't know if this clay has been exposed to the outdoor elements, animals, insects, etc. I did use it in a hot bath and it worked well, very relaxing. It dissolved better than my other clays but it did leave tons of residue in the tub. I contacted the company and they responded back promptly and confirmed that it is 100% calcium bentonite. Still because this clay tastes and feels so different from my other clays, I will only use this externally.

I received my Sodium Bentonite clay and have used it 4 times. I put a tablespoon in a glass of water and drank the water, I did a mask on the tip of my nose. The mask pulled out the little black oils, nice. I masked my face this morning. My skin feels nice. I put some in a shaker with water and added it to an Epsom salt bath to counteract the fluoride in the tap water. I see it as a long term good choice not an immediate miracle of some sort. I'm happy with it.

Love this stuff! I use it to make a copycat Earthpaste toothpaste and it comes out great. As soon as it's mixed with a bit of water it becomes just as easily used as your traditional toothpaste.Great value and so many uses!I have also used it to make a facial scrub with almonds, vegetable glycerin and lavender (copycat Lush Angels on Bare skin), and it forms a great paste when mixed with a little water and works perfectly. Bentonite clay is a more absorbent clay than kaolin so its perfect for more oily skin.

I was pretty skeptical about this at first but since it was going for nearly half off, I gave it a try much to my amazement. I put half a teaspoon in a glass of cold water and thought the taste was not bad for clay. About 5 minutes later, I felt a noticeable difference that was uncommonly natural. I guess the ancients do know things we've lost over the many years.

I have never used another type of bentonite clay, but this product has satisfied me. I use mine to make homemade toothpaste, but I will probably take advantage of other uses also. ***When shopping for bentonite clay, be aware there are different varieties.*** This is calcium bentonite, which is what I was specifically looking for in order to make toothpaste.
