Just bought this for my brothers birthday! Growing up he would be glued to the BET channel… so this felt like a great fit in light of his upcoming child.When I went through the pages and they gave me a good giggle! Cute book for the parent who’s not ready to admit they will be listening to nursery rhymes instead of rap on the radio!

My sister and nephew loved this book. Great nostalgic old school hip-hop references mixed with adorable illustrations. Got some more for other friends and their kids.

My husband and I are both old school hip hop lovers who grew up in the 90's. We intend to raise our children with a healthy love of hip hop music and this was just the perfect thing. The illustrations are bright and have a lot of contrast. Our 5 month old likes to look at the pages. We sing him songs related to the words on each page. This is really a very cute and useful gift for anyone in your life who is into old school hip hop.
