This phone holder is sturdy, attractive and works great. We had originally bought the version that doesn't include the CD adapter. While it works perfectly in our car the clip isn't deep enough for vents that are deep like Chevy Silverado or CDL tractors This version has two mounting options. There is no damage to the CD player. While it does take the CD player out of action it allows commercial vehicles to mount their phone. My husband is a CDL driver and has bought several holders over the years that quickly broke or didn't hold the phone securely. He has been out there bouncing around and the holder is hanging tight. When we had an issue with the vent only mount, VICSEED quickly reached out to us to make things right. I can highly recommend this company and package. If you're in doubt give this version a try and one or the other will work. Not many reviews mention vertical vents, happy to report it works but make sure your vents are not more than an inch deep. Install and assembly is easy just snap in the ball prior to install and either clip into vent or insert CD and tighten wing nut and it's done.

I have an older Jeep Cherokee XJ and have had tons of issues finding the proper cell phone mount. This one definitely works the best. The dash is not flat anywhere, the vents too old, brittle, floppy and loose to use for mounting. I broke out one of the vent fins trying to make a different holder work. This one with the CD slot mount is awesome! I just pushed that mount into the CD slot, tightened the screw underneath, and it is in there solidly and reliably. It is sturdy and easy to tilt left, right, or up and down to adjust the view using the ball mount behind the device. NOTE: If you still use your CD player and worry about your vents being right for the mounting, then maybe this one isn’t for you. I installed Bluetooth in my Jeep so all my music and hands free audio comes from my cell phone nowadays. I love this mount and highly recommend it. Solid, well made, and seems to be quite durable. I have a iPhone 14 Pro in a military grade protective case and it fits just fine. The release button works great and expands quickly when pressed. The rubbery edges inside the holder work extremely well too.

Clipped it onto my car vent and it kept my phone in place while I drove. Big help in navigating with Google Maps! Good quality and design.

This easy clip car mount appears to be built solid. I mounted this in the CD slot of my stereo system. I do not think the phone will fall out of the mount but it vibrates while traveling. The weight of the phone cantilevered out over the arm of the mount is too much not to shake. This is the same problem you have with vent phone mounts. I prefer the CD mount over the vent mount by far, but do not expect it to be solid. Don't have the expectation to look down at a map, or lettering on your phone while traveling and be able to read it.I looked into phone mounts that mount solid to the dashboard. The mounts I could find were about 2 1/2 times the cost. The position I would have had to mount them on my specific vehicle's dashboard layout was not acceptable. I have chosen to live with the vibration. The "anti-shake" still shakes.

My 2011 Ford 150 vents are too large for other vent holders I tried, and the surface of the dash is not "smooth" so nothing worked until this!!! I have it set up on the CD player now!! Holds steady, no issues!! LOVE IT!!
