The ideas behind the story are somewhat adolescent (hippiesque), but the sincerity of expression and the artistic skill, alongside an extraordinary visual imagination absolve it of its limitations. Suggested reading: Frederik Peeters’ Aama

you can't deny moebius' genius, and this volume of his most inventive science fantasy creation reinforces that position. beautiful line work, intense colours and a trancendant story. the last volume is here also, translated for the first time into english. if i was being pernickety i might say something about how they could have taken the opportunity to do something regaring the possibly overintense colour reporduction in volume three that threatens to overwhelm the line work, but frankly that would be churlish. at this price, you should buy it.

Fantastic book, and this version in particular was well put together with an interesting introduction that adds context to when and how this story was originally conceived.
