UPGRADE AASR081010 Sun Shade Sail Rectangle, 10'x8' w/Hardware kit, Sand

This is a fantastic sun shade! This shade is made with such high quality materials and design I am surprised they don't charge more for it! The company provides all the hardware you need to install the shade, I was surprised when I saw that it was included because I have ordered other sun shades in the past and they only sent a few ropes! I installed this sun shade on the second floor of my deck where the sun just beats down. Installation was so easy! All you need in four points of contact and a drill! I think what I like the most about this shade is that the material is a woven fabric and not a tarp-like material. This is a very useful advantage for this shade because unlike other shades this shade can be installed level and not at an angle. There is no pooling of water and it opens up so many more ways this thing can be used. The material is mold and stain resistant and it is tough so its not going to rip. Shipping was fast as always with prime and the packaging was adequate. I would absolutely buy this product again and I would highly recommend this brand to a friend!

It's a pretty simple device. Either the dimensions work or they don't. For me, this thing is a godsend. Our back porch/patio area is a split-level affair with a deck that has an installed metal-frame canopy with screens and curtains and a ground level stone-covered patio beside it. For the past few years, the lower patio area has been uninhabitable on sunny summer days. It is in full sun all day and it gets HOT and BRIGHT. My wife and I thought we'd give this a try to provide some relief to people sitting in that space. I have it attached to the deck canopy frame on one side and a free-standing privacy fence on the opposite side of the lower patio. Granted, it doesn't provide absolute shade at all times of day, but it does give shade during the peak hours of the sun's intensity. Obviously, your milage will vary. I was quite easy to install and attach. Since it has been installed, there hasn't been an issue. The only time it's down is, if we have fire in the lower patio, I will detach it from the canopy and hang all four corners on the privacy fence side. If you just want some simple shading from the sun, this thing works awesome, assuming it works for your dimensions.

I received the item last week. Packaging was excellent (a box within a box). The material is the typical Polypropylene type mesh similar to what is found on outdoor shades, etc. It is not waterproof, but provides good coverage from the sun, which is really its intended function. The perimeter stitching seems solid, with a double layer of material along the edges, double stitched. The attachment points are nylon webbing with a stainless steel tab at each end. The unit also comes with stainless mounting hardware which is an added bonus. The hardware is fairly heavy duty.Installation was simple. The hardware is used to tension the cover to remove any sagging. So far, the cover has held up in moderate wind and one small thunderstorm. The included snap hooks make taking down the cover fast in the event of more severe weather, or off season storage. It seems to be a well manufactured product, especially for the price.

Comes exactly as described. Was able to set it up in about 2 hours with just a power drill. Most of the time was spent just double-checking where I wanted to put the anchors. The shade and hardware seem to be good quality.We use it out on our balcony, just outside of the living room windows which face west. I think it's helped keep the inside a little cooler during the day.Be aware that it does NOT come with screws. It does come with all the other hardware that you need, as shown. Just don't forget that you'll need your own screws.

We received the sun shade sail but it was a couple weeks before we could install it due to extreme heat and humidity and a very busy schedule. But we finally got it installed and it is working out perfectly. The quality of the material is very good and the hardware that was included was sturdy enough to hold the sail in place. We did have to purchase some cording as we needed to attach it farther than the hardware would allow, but we had expected that so we had it on hand. It was easy to install and the instructions were easy to follow. When the time comes to store it for the winter it will be pretty quick to take down and put back up next spring. The reason I chose this item is that one of my friends bought this item and then highly recommended it to me as a MUST BUY for backyard. After receiving it, I am so happy since my husband said this is such a GREAT buy!!! The quality looks amazing, the sand color looks so nice, and the installation is so easy for me!!! After installation it, I noticed immediately a big difference for our 3-year-old son to play in the pool in backyard. Because of its high UV block factor, my son can keep enjoying the backyard play area all through this hot summer！Overall，I DO recommend this item and will share with all my friends who is in need of a sun shade Sail for backyard!!!

Looks great. The install seems like it should be straight forward but when I looked online it was like an engineer came up with the instructions. They made it sound impossible to put up. It really shouldn't be. We measured and did what we wanted and we haven't had issues. I would say if it needs to withstand a hurricane then maybe go with their instructions, otherwise, do it yourself the best you can. It should be fine!

I am very happy with this Shade Sail. It was easy to install and looks great over our yard. The material provides good shade but does not completely block out the sun. The installation directions were pretty clear and all the hardware we needed was included. We made sure to lubricate the turnbuckles prior to use to reduce the risk of stripping the threads while tightening up the sail to remove the slack.
