I'll have ripe windowsill tomatoes by the end of March
I am very impressed with this light. I picked it because it offered a broader spectrum than other LEDs, and while other lights might be alright for African violets or some lettuce, they weren't suitable for fruiting, and I wanted to try some indoor tomatoes on my SE windowsill.I started wih Tiny Tim cuttings because they are a short, compact heirloom plant that produces an abundance of delicious cherry-sized tomatoes. The plant pictured below was put into a DIY windowsill hydroponics unit and I ran the light 14 hours per day through the winter. Started 1/9/17, the pictures below were taken 3/9/17. You can see I've got a nice showing of flowers and tomatoes....I'll be the first kid on my block to have tomatoes this year! There should be a ripe one or two by the end of March. My hydroponic set up was very DIY -- old ice buckets, a small fishtank bubbler, a round air stone, some nutrients, and a grow light. I don't know if I can upload a video, but I put together a little run-through on how I made my windowsill hydroponics unit. It is available on YouTube at youtube.com/watch?v=a9hhx32txv8&t=18s.In my opinion, this 12 watt full-spectrum lamp is the tops. I have a few bulbs that I've used in the past, but they're not suitable for fruiting, and a few of them even cost more.

Doing exactly what we hoped it would do
We bought this specifically for an Angel Trumpet tree we grow here in northern Illinois. Actually, it's a planting of three Angel Trumpets together - one white, one yellow and one orange. This will be our second winter with it, and we have to bring it indoors during the winter. The first summer outside it grew fairly well but didn't bloom. The first winter it did quite well indoors but still no blooms. This summer was hard - first, the prairie winds blew the snot out of it in the spring, then a very dry summer didn't help it - even without the drought it's one of the thirstiest plants we own - but as fall came along, two of the three actually bloomed for the first time. We thought that with a bit of luck and the help of a decent grow light it may continue to bloom inside. The light is certainly industrial grade; big and fairly heavy. We put it on a timer and a work light clamped to an etagere beside our dining room plant area where the light would shine almost exclusively onto the Angel Trumpet. The coverage from the light is fairly narrow, but that's what we were expecting. It is now November and the third plant that did not bloom in the summer now has three beautiful blooms. Also one of the others that did bloom is already producing new buds. We are pretty certain that the grow light is at least partially responsible for this, so we're happily giving it five stars. It also seems to us that nearby plants are also benefitting from the light, so (green) thumbs up all around.

WONDERFUL FOR PLANTING AND GROWING INDOORS
i want to take back what I said initially i gave this review and one star"This light has made nothing grow in my house. I even have had my students very easy to grow seeds under the light and nothing. Save your money"at the time I wrote this i was trying to save a lavender and cucumber plant. I am a teacher and we had been growing cucumber before summer hit, there was also another plant unidentified at the time growing in the same pot that I had no clue what it was and wanted to see what it was going to be. the plant was thriving, but it was summer and 7 weeks of no water and sunlight i knew it wouldnt survive so i brought it home thinking I could keep it outside my door as others in my building had smaller plants outside.. well my horrible building made me bring it inside, within a week it was dead. But during that time I discovered the mystery plant was lavender. have no clue how it got in this pot (we grew lavender in other pots but not this one) but i was excited. I purchased light and let it sit for another 2 weeks hoping to revive, no dice, hence my review. I decided to start from scratch and regroup to see what would happen. Its been about 4 week now. I pulled up cucumber and lavender roots and all. tilled soil and planted lemon balm and lavender seeds. Both are thriving and growing great! I cant believe it. This light is wonderful. I had an outside garden before I moved to this crappy apt but I love plants and needed some other way to grow this is wonderful. I would like to buy another light and put it in another corner for more lights. I dont know if this makes a difference but my light stays on 24/7 I do not turn it off

Works like crazy
Our basement doesn’t get much light... I don’t want my house plants to suffer so I changed from a store incandescent grow bulb to this (they blow out frequently). The spread of this light is not really a flood, I had to compromise to give enough to two plants. After 3 weeks they are a deep green and I notice the leaves are much bigger where the light hits. THEY ARE HAPPY! The bulb is pretty heavy so I had to tape and zip tie the bulb holder so it wouldn’t swing (pivot) down. I included pictures.

What a great light. Seedlings are sprouting and looking healthy as ever after three days of light. I already bought two more after seeing results of first one. Adding some pictures. This is five days in. Beans are growing fast. These lights are great.

My fern is beautiful and healthy
I use this in one of my recessed light fixtures during the winter for my HUGE staghorn fern. We moved to a new house with very limited natural lighting. The color is pretty funky and people comment about its weirdness - so I joke that I also use it for my pole-dancing gig. Anyway... my fern is beautiful and healthy.

Very pleased with this light
Very pleased with this light. I use it as a supplement along with a larger light to grow my dwarf Meyer lemon over the winter.
