Ugh.
Saw another review calling this a 'beautiful piece of garbage'. Really felt like this comment nailed it. While the art stills on there own were nice (very pop culture), the direction between the panels was pretty lack-luster, focusing more on generic facial emotions than movement. And don't get me started about the writing. The story seemed as though it was written by a 16 year old edge lord. Had to stop reading about a third of the way through. Totally confounded as to why this series consistently appears on Image's 'best of' lists.

Amazing
This book was recommended to me by a friend and as soon as I finished it, I texted her to thank her. I loved everything about it – the story, the art, the characters. As soon as I was done texting her, I pre-ordered book two. It’s magical. The story is innovative and creative, perfectly complimented by the art. The exposition, often annoying in introductory volumes, is unobtrusive. The writing and the art combine to make the large cast of characters absolutely distinct and memorable. They’re enthralling, perfectly straddling the nexus of doomed celebrity, reckless adolescence, and self-absorbed divinity. The end left me shocked. If you’re wondering if you should read this, you probably should. This particular volume, collecting the content of issues 1-11, is sturdy and handsome.

Bloody magnificent read
Fresh. Totally up there with the likes of American gods ans the magicians. Fresh and just so much fun. Would make an awesome tv show with the right studio.

Great Art
Gillen is a great writer and I enjoy most of his stuff, but I just couldn't get into this one. Tons of characters and just not my style. That being said, the art is absolutely stunning and is the reason for the 3 stars.

AMAZING
I freaking LOVE this story. It is engaging, heartbreaking, hopeful, and amazing! The characters are multi-dimensional, despite how they are presented in an initial meeting; and you truly feel for these characters.

Great read!
There's little to say about Gillen and McKelvie that haven't been said before. Masters of their craft, and this book is no exception.

Great Artwork - Poor writing.
Great - until the disappointing ending.

Addictively good
Awesome art, interesting story plus a real page Turner. I pre-ordered the second 'Book' as soon as I finished this one.

Great art, but not my cup of tea story
Great artwork, I liked the initial idea, but from there the things got murky, and overall I lost interest.

Unglaublich toller Comic

A arte do Jamie é bem limpa e detalhista.
