This Concentrated Organic Green Tea Cooking/Blending Powder Is Great For Adding Nutrients to Your Food! Made in China 3.5oz
There are a lot of health benefits with Matcha Powder that I've always wanted to try and when I found this was available for a Discount for a thorough review I wanted to get it right away. When I see 'green tea' I get the image of something to drink. What I probably didn't take into account was that it was a culinary grade, mostly made or rated for baking and cooking and blended health drinks - more than simple tea drinking. This was probably a good thing after-all though because as with so many today, drinks with acidity can be a bit much to handle without pairing it with other things anyway. Drinking it with a sweetener isn't really a good habit in most cases anyway so that will help me to remember to use a form that is more balanced to drink as a tea, without sweetening. This helps with things like blood sugar so it's a little nonsensical to use it with something that will spike it at the same time.Pros:USDA Certified OrganicSupplement grade antioxidants EGCG/nutrients because it's a powderPromotes energy, detox, healthy cholesterol, blood sugar and is good for the skin and metabolism. Can be used as a tea, I suggest using with bergamot leaf or perhaps honey to tone the strength down. The foil pouch is slimline and takes up less room than the canister used with the flower products.Great health additive in cooking/smoothies like you would add chia or quinoa to boost nutrient valueMade in China, not Japan, apparently, so to me this is perhaps better than imagining radiation concerns.Cons/Tips:There may be confusion over where it comes from, I believe the Japanese reference here refers to a 'style' of Green Tea Powder known as Matcha, more than the nation in which it was grown.May be too bitter for some to drink it without a sweetener, best for cooking applications.Caffeine may effect sleep if used later in the day. Some with digestive acidity issues may need to use it at 1/2 - 1/4 the recommended tea recipe. If you know you will need to detox from anything like exposures to things, go slow and easy with it.I marked it down because they maybe should call it Green Tea Cooking Powder - to be more clear. Also because it does have detoxing effects and some caffeine, people may assume it's 'herbal' and then wonder why they can't sleep if they drink it after dinner. There's no real warning info to speak of but in this day and age we tend to immediately think 'healthy' when it comes to organic teas and this is one of those cases when 'too much' could cause complications to some people's health, especially when it's not really made for drinking, it's really more of a nutriceutical and should be handled as one.I like to add various nutrients to foods on the fly so I'm going to enjoy trying this in various baked goods and smoothies and things as I dream up more ways to use it. I think we should have fun with it for the health benefits and I can say it does add a kind of healthy and bright flavor to cooked/blended things that are already naturally sweet.

I love matcha! A few months ago
I previously submitted this review, but a second request for a review keeps popping up - so I'm trying again! Same review as previously submitted for this identical product is below. Still lovin' it!!!I love matcha! A few months ago, I had a Green Tea Latte at Starbucks and I have ordered a different brands for comparison every chance I get! This brand is one of the organic versions, and has all the good characteristics of the other excellent brands I have tried. My findings with Organic Matcha is:- it's organic! :-)- fresh aroma, characteristic green color, wonderful herbal taste- identical in texture, color, and aroma to the other high quality matchas I have tried.- easily mixes in recipes for baked goods, smoothies, etc- wonderful health benefits- Concentrated: this 3.5 oz package equals almost 100 half-teaspoon servings.- LOADED with healthy "stuff": 1,384 antioxidants per gram, 137 X the antioxidants of regular steeped green tea- low in calories, high in protein, increases metabolism, boosts energy and strengthens the immune system.- packaged in a re-sealable, stay-fresh bag- very competitively priced - cheaper than the other organic matchas I have tried.- I can pay Starbucks (I do like the star points), or I can make my favorite green tea lattes at home and save a few bucks!!!!!!!!Disclaimer: I am not a "paid" reviewer, but I did purchase this S.E. Matcha from Seven Elegance at a discount in exchange for my fair and honest review. I take seriously my responsibility to provide reliable reviews in order to help consumers make wise purchasing decisions. My opinion is not swayed by the price I pay, or the discount I receive, for any particular product - my opinion will always be based on the quality, price, and value of the item reviewed.

I really do feel the increased focus and anti fatigue. I love this so much because there are so many drinks you can make. My favorite recipe is the green tea ice cream OMG so good. that is the first thing I had to make as soon as i got this. I got this on discount to review and I'm very happy with the product. The shipping and the packaging. I hope this review helps.
