Revontulij Scented Candles Natural Wax Candle 45 Hours Of Scent For Home or Gift

I wanted to love this candle, I really did, but at the price it's being sold at, I just cannot go more than three stars on this and I'll tell you why. I personally make my own candles, I'm probably one of thee biggest candle/wax lovers out there. I have over 300 candles and tart/wax products currently in my house and closet, literally totes of wax, boxes of candles, I switch them out for holidays or my mood, I have pounds of soy flakes to make my own, so I can appreciate a really good candle, as well as know when it's junk.That being said I do understand the cost of fragrance, I'm very well aware that the cost of just the fragrance you put in a candle isn't cheap, and some of them are just insanely high priced for certain scents, so I get it, it's not always cheap to make a candle and hey you gotta make a profit otherwise why sell candles. Unfortunately with the throw this candle puts out and it's size, this is not a thirty dollar candle, not even a twenty dollar candle here. It's only a 6oz candle for starters, now I know that if you mix beeswax in with soy flakes or whatever other choice of wax your going to use, that's instantly going to increase the length in your burn time, and beeswax, isn't that expensive at all pretty cheap actually. So that's not really a reason to increase the price to what it is at all.When I opened this box up I did smell the candle right away, it was not an overwhelming wow, but I surely smelled it right away. Then I looked at it, there's wax splashed on the upper inside rim, even someone's partial fingerprint in the wax on that small bit of inside glass rim at the top, would it have been such an inconvenience to have wiped that inner rim before shipping? I mean it is after all a 6 oz $28 candle, it should come nice and clean with a great presentation. So fail there. Then the other reason why I can't do more than three stars, the throw on this candle is meant more for a bedroom, bathroom, and not a larger area. When you first light it, it has a real nice strong scent throw, but after it's been lit for a few hours, that strong throw fades. I thought maybe it was because I was in the room and adapted to the smell and that's why I couldn't smell it anymore, so when my husband said he was going to run to the store to grab some amenities I offered to go for him. That way I could leave the entire house and come back with a clean nose so to speak. It didn't improve, I could barely smell it when I walked in, and it had been burning for a good 4 hours and I was gone for a good half hour of that time, btw my husband was home the candle was not left unattended. I don't know, I'll pay the money for a good candle but I just can't honestly tell you that I would pay this much for this candle, because I wouldn't. Maybe I'd do ten dollars, but that's about as high as I would personally pay for it. I really wanted to love this candle, if it had been a nice large 16oz candle I would have certainly given it five stars without question, but for the size and product itself at this cost I just can't, I wish I could but I can't. My review is based off my personal experience with candles in general and using/burning this particular candle and my impression of it.

This candle is great if you are looking for something with a refreshing sent, that isn't too sweet. The smell is a bit masculine, but not too overpowering. It is great if you want something simple and not too strong. The candle has a minimalist design which I like a lot, and the glass it is in seems high quality. It seems to be burning slowly so it will likely last a long time.The package it comes in is very simple and nice, it is definitely nice enough to give as a gift. This candle would be a great gift for someone who wants a more masculine sented candle, and would be great in a cabin (or if you just want to feel like your in a cabin). I was pleasantly surprised with this candle’s smell. It is all too difficult to describe scents online (I should know, I’m a perfumer!) and I was worried that the “pine” smell would be unrecognizable. Surely this candle fails miserably at evoking smell of the forest, but it is certainly a clean, refreshing scent that one usually associates with pine. It is well scented but light enough to fade into the background. If you are looking for an atmospheric candle to change the whole smell of your house, you will be extremely disappointed. I burned this for four hours on my desk as I was working on my computer and could barely smell it. It would work great in a bathroom or hallway, not in a main room.I think the price is quite steep for what you get. The presentation (box, design, labels, etc) is stellar, but the actual product isn’t that amazing. Candles are more expensive to make than most people realize so I understand that it would be at least $15-20, but I feel that this is overpriced. These candles aren’t made with essential oils, after all, which is the most expensive component to any candle. All in all, this candle is beautiful and would make a great gift. I don’t think I’d buy it for myself, however, as I like strongly scented candles. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
