PC4 Reflector Chrome for 4 inch Recessed Can

I have very high tin ceilings and cannot put in recessed lights. I have used the plain white Kichler 9834WH surface mount cylinder lights (they measure about 4 inch wide x 8 inch high) in other parts of my apartment, and they are great -- nearly invisible on the busy white painted ceiling. I am upgrading the kitchen cabinets and got rid of the old hanging fluorescent fixture while I'm at it. I will be installing several of the Kichler cylinders and LED bulbs, but I wanted to dress them up a bit and improve the light spread. These reflector baffles worked really well. The effect is great, it adds a touch of bling and style to the Kichler cylinders. The rim extends about a quarter inch around, giving the plain cylinders a top hat look. One important caveat is that you need to use a bulb at least 5 inches long. Bulb length may not be an issue with the other 4" reflector baffle (the one without the extra black bulb guide) sold here, but the rim on that other one weighs significantly more than this one for some reason, so might not stay in place as easily. (They are both made by a company called Joint Bright Lighting, and came in virtually identical boxes.) I will be using the new dimmable 1000 lumen Ikea bulb. I also tried the new odd looking, flared Philips 100w equivalent LED bulb, but it didn't dim as smoothly for me.) I haven't been impressed too much with the LED flood bulbs out there, and I really wanted to avoid halogen floods because changing bulbs in my high ceilings is an ordeal.

I suppose the reflector is o.k., but I returned it because I found a better deal for a LOT less money per reflector. Since I needed 30 of them, it made a significant difference in the cost to go with the less expensive reflector. The less expensive reflector was almost identical to this reflector.
