PROS: Smells good, easy to apply, lasts a long time CONS: If you don't close the lid all the way, it makes a huge mess if it tips over I purchased this back in March of 2015, and this is now December 2015. I have a large butcher block set, ranging from herbs to pizza boards, and because I cook at home everyday, I use them a lot, and I needed a reliable product that I could use often without having to let it sit for 2 or more days to soak in before using the board again. This is really easy to use, I have both poured it on my rag and wiped it onto the boards, and poured it directly onto the board and then wiped it in with either a paper towel or rag. In my opinion, pouring it directly onto the board and then wiping it in was easy and a little bit better, not because the wood soaked it in differently, but because the rag soaked it in when I poured it directly on that. My boards haven't cracked, and are still easy to use. In fact, those little scratches that the boards get aren't as noticeable. I will order this again when I run out, but that doesn't seem to be for a while. I still have half a bottle. Overall, my experience with the oil has been nothing but positive. But if they ever want to make a tip proof bottle, I will be the first one to order them. If you have any questions about the product or my experiences, please feel free to leave a comment on this review and I'll get back to you.

I have a wooden cutting board that I apply Paderno brand mineral oil to on a regular (monthly) basis. Doing so has really kept my board looking great. I'm about halfway through my bottle of Paderno oil, which is only 250mL, and I've had it for a couple of years! But I decided to order the Ironwood oil for comparison. While my Paderno is odourless, the Ironwood oil has a light citrus scent. It's not unpleasant, but it was unexpected, until I reread the listing which indicates the Ironwood is a mineral and citrus oil blend. For me, the most important is that it is food-safe, and both oils declare this on their labels. I did my usual application to my cutting board, but this time using the Ironwood brand. It feels a little thinner than my usual oil, but it still did a good job. It spreads easily, and I just apply it really lightly (spreading with a paper towel) and then let it sit and absorb. The end result is very similar to what I see with my regular mineral oil. One other difference, further to the scent, is the price. My Paderno oil was around $13.00 CAD for 250mL. This Ironwood was $19.99 CAD at time of order, for 16 fl oz / 470mL, so it's a little lower in price.
