Don't be in an hurry.
I originaly ordered thie patioMate screen enclosure almost 2 months ago. It is still not finished. It shipped quickly and arrived locally for delivery within 2 weeks. It was another 3 weeks until delivery could be scheduled. One week before it was to be delivered we received an email saying it had been damaged and they were able to deliver it. We called the number provided and we were able to reorder it and schedule a delivery in another 3 weeks. It finally came! We were so happy until we opened the box and started reading the directions. We are two highly educated people but could not make sense of them. It did clearly say it could be assembled by 2 people in an afternoon. With 3 people, at the end of the 2nd day, we were ready to put the roof on. It turned out to be 2 ft to short. On the first business day we got in touch with the manufacturer. They were very helpful. They apologized and said we would get the replacement in 2-3 days. Great! Oh, and they would send along a screen repair kit for the 2 screens that came torn. It's now 9 days later and we got an email saying it was shipped today and should arrive in 7-10 days! No, we are not very happy. Probably would not recommend this to anyone else. By the time we get it together it will be fall and time to take it down!

Great concept but poor instructions and poor labeling of pieces
The instructions were poor. Took forever to get started because they were not understandable. Made a simple project that should have only taken a few hours into a 2 day nightmare. Parts were not labeled clearly and what was labeled didn't match the part number for the instructions. For example all the screws were mixed together in one bag, parts were mixed into multiple bags with part numbers that were not listed on the instructions, the support beams package had multiple different pieces and was difficult to figure out which was what. Some pieces did not have drill holes so you have to make your own. Before you start you need to get wood strips (1x3), cement screws, and a set of longer screws to screw wood into siding (ones included are not long enough). Glad it's done and up but it wasn't easy and not perfect. I hope it holds up.

2nd one came with no issues! So pleased.
So, we got a replacement. This one is fine! All rivets are there , no holes in screen! Set it up according to directions which were easy to follow. Laid out the roof in the sun for hours until we needed to attach it and it fit like a glove. Only thing we could complain about was that we had to predrill holes every where but understand that it actually makes it easier for us putting it up. No pin holes in roof like some people said, sliding door slides nicely and lines up perfectly. We are so happy we bought this. We e very pleased with this product. It is stable as heck too. Slept in it overnight with niece the second night we put it up...no bugs, no bugs, no bugs! WELL WORTH IT, WE LOVE OUR NEW LANAI.

Although the directions were difficult to follow, this purchase was well worth the money! We enjoy our patio much more now and even when it is raining!

This is a good value.
Dislike - the corners do not match up well, the top brackets rough edge cuts in to the canvas top, there are leaks in the seams that supposedly have a material used in the sewing thereof that expands when wet ( not working to well). Our screen sets on a deck, consequently the top frame is about 15 feet above ground. As such it would be more beneficial not to have to drill holes in the top frame to be able to insert screws for joyces.Like the ability to sit on a swing with my wife and enjoy the outdoors watching critters in our northern Wi location. (Swing not included with screen).

Love the walls but had a new roof custom made
Had to buy new one due to a storm. Love the walls but had a new roof custom made. Kept the new roof in a box.....they always shrink. Would buy again but would only use custom roof.

Poor packaging
I think the eight panel screen porch kit is a nice addition to my patio area. The one thing I didn't like about it was it came with some bent pieces, the worst being the door overhead slide rail. I tried to straighten it the best I could, but it still is hard to open and close the door. Prior to purchasing the screen porch I read some reviews of similar problems, but purchased it anyway in hopes they made the proper packaging adjustments to fix the problems.

Good product with a few recommendations.
This is my 3rd Patio Mate. (hail and old age took out the previous ones) Full sewn corners on the top is a welcome addition. Less bugs! I never had to move a door panel before. I learned that the clips that hold in the hinge material are tough to take in and out. We broke a few. Once out, we left them out. I don't see any purpose to having the clips. The hinge material won't magically rise up and fall out. The new sliding door seems like it will work better than the old style.. Another improvement would be to oversize the holes in the panel brace that holds the rafter bolts. Line up is difficult. I will oversize them with a step drill bit before we set it up next time.
