Stress Test: How long have you had it for until it stopped working? I also need to know how you use it (daily, once in a while, etc)?

I purchased one 2.5 years ago to cool off my Dish Network Hopper which gets VERY hot. Since it runs 24x7 other laptop coolers I tried would burn out or get noisy. This has worked great and is still running like new. I purchased a spare a year ago expecting it to replace it but have not needed yet. As others noted, you need clearance at bottom for it so it cannot sit tight against the base else there is not enough circulation but if that's not an issue for your application, this is a great unit.

is it flat or force angled

it is flat with two kick up feet on one end, actual dimensions 16x 10.5 inches. it's rear kick height is 1.8 inches with the feet deployed, and a flat surface of 1 inch with them folded up. due to it's porous yet sturdy design being flat doesn't take away too much from it's ability to ventilate but does lend it to getting dust filled quicker, so invest in some air cans. still works amazing for the price. just on the small side.
