Started right up super easy, runs my space heater
I put oil and gas in it and went to pull the cord and ended up getting a bad grip on it so it kinda slipped out my hand but just that little half pull on the very first start up and this thing fires up and was running. I grabbed my 1800w space heater and it ran that no problem and then I grabbed a hair dryer and that was no problem. Efficiency mode is quiet. I've randomly started it a few times since just cause I almost can't believe how easy it is to start and it cranks right up. Costumer service is good too, I called them before purchasing to make sure it'd power my space heater and they told me it would and then I called back with another question about the Co sensor and they answered that too. I'm very pleased

Generac GP2500i. Worth it.
Okay, so the 2500i arrived very fast. I opened it. Boxed and packed nicely. Put oil in it REC FUEL as I do in all my small engines. Opened side cover used the small funnel that comes with it and filled it with oil that is supplied. Let set a few mins. Slowly pulled the rope a couple of times not to start but to move the oil around. Put the choke on and you could hear the gas filling the line and carb. Gave her a pull and she was up and running first pull. Waited 15 seconds and turned choke off. Running good. I let in run for about 15 mins and shut it down. Let it cool. Started it again (first pull). Let it run 30 mins and shut it down letting it cool. Started it. Plugged a lamp in it let it run a few. Then I plugged a drill in it and off and on pulled the trigger of the drill to change the rpm's of the generator. Did this for about 10 minutes and then let it run on eco for about 25-30 mins. Shut it down let it cool and changed the oil to full synthetic 5w30. The oil in it was pretty dark with no visible deposits ( metal shavings). I am happy with this purchase. It is pretty quiet shouldn't be much of a bother at a campground. The only thing that I didn't care for was tipping the generator almost on the side to change the oil.

Did what it said it would do
We had a round of bad weather come through Houston with a couple of tornados and were without power from about 6pm till 5am the next morning. Had the generator running about a hour after the tornado hit so we had it running from 6pm till about 5am in the morning. I topped the generator off with gas around 11pm and went to bed so it ran perfectly fine no issues until I woke up at 5am. I didn’t want to over work it so I had just the fridge and some fans plugged into it and also I only had it running on eco mode. Very quiet machine. Enough to where we were having some quality time with the neighbors out in the garage while it was running behind us and could hear eachother just fine. Would recommend

Good little generator
I was looking for a small generator to use for our camping trailer, I have a 2000 watt (1600watts running) red inverter generator but it did not have enough power to run our air conditioner consistently. I did not want to haul around two generators so I could run them in parallel plus the cost of another red one was a bit much. I liked the output and specs of this 2500 watt Generac so I decided to give it a try. At this point I am happy that this one will run our Air Conditioner, but I do have a easy start capacitor on our air conditioner. I picked the hottest day of the year to run my test and this generator started the air conditioner on several on-off cycles, so I am happy that it will do the job. This generator is a bit noisier than my red one but I expected that, given the larger engine and higher output.I filled both of them with fuel and oil and weighed them . The Red one scales at 52 pounds and this one is just under 56 pounds, so the weight is manageable. This Generac model was initially harder to start than my Red one, I looked into the reason and found the choke cable was misadjusted. A simple adjustment and now it starts on the first pull just like brand red.Overall I am happy with my purchase, it does the job I needed it for and was a less costly option than buying another brand Red.Update after a couple years. The generator developed a nasty buzz while running. I had to disassemble and place some thin foam between the side panels and the base. Also had to grind clearance from one of the motor mount bolts to the side panel. Now it runs quietly again. Also found to consistently start the A/C compressor on our camper I have found it necessary to turn eco mode off. With some annoyance I am stilll satisfied.

Great performance for a great price
I love how reliable, and quiet this generator is. I can run several things at once (including my power washer). It's light enough to carry and works perfectly. Easy to start too. At less than half the price of the Honda it's simply great
