OMG. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
How did I not give this a shot sooner? I am kicking myself repeatedly for not trying this sooner. I can't believe it.First time user, obviously. I was half expecting this not to work because of a few things that are different with me.I have had children through child birth. With my first child, my cervix tore in half. I almost died, lost 2 liters of blood. The scar tissue is significant on my cervix, I can feel it with my finger and as a result is has also mishapen my cervix. I was worried about the cup being able to fit.Another reason I was not getting my hopes up, I am too tight in the opening. Its crazy, but I am tighter than before I had kids. I cant have sex because of it, and cannot wear even the tiniest tampons, it is just too painful. That left me with the options of pads, which also was not a valid option for me because I don't wear underwear. Don't ask, I just cant. After removing my birth control, I had to face this dilemma again after not having a period for a very long time. For a year, I've been going back and forth between attaching pads to my jeans directly, lining them up just right then pulling up my pants and keeping my legs together hoping for no leaks.... And then when I felt daring enough I would unravel a tampon and trim the sides to make it smaller and more comfortable to wear. There were much less leaks with that, but they still hurt enough to remind me every step I took.I just want y'all to know how much I am kicking myself for not trying this for so long. Its been a long and unneeded dreadful journey for me.I didn't try it because, I thought it wouldn't work with the shape of my cervix, and the pain I feel with anything entering in there.BUT IT WORKS. AND THE PAIN IS ALMOST NON EXISTENT. I was shocked that I inserted this correctly on my very first try. I had read so many times how its a learning curve. It wasn't for me, but I guess I earned it.Insertion is a bit uncomfortable for me obviously. I just gently get it through folded up as small as possible. As soon as it gets in further enough it starts to unravel and the pain associated with my muscle tightness is gone. The first time I had to wiggle it around to fully unfold, but I never had to do that again after the first time.My experience, for about an hour after any insertion I feel the slightest uncomfortable cramping kinda pain on my cervix. Its very dull and almost unnoticeable. It's not cramps associated with my period. I think the cup against my cervix causes it to contract for about an hour or so after its in. The pain is so mild its almost not worth mentioning.Anyways, after that hour, I forget its there. I forget I'm on my period and everything is great. I am using the smaller size of the two, even though I had kids and its working for me. I am afraid to use the bigger one because of pain but I might try it one day and find I like it more.Removal is mildly annoying for me. Its difficult to break the suction. I think it should be a little easier to be honest. But after some fiddling it lets go. One thing I was fully expecting was removal to be messy. Not at all. Even folding it doesn't spill it. I was actually surprised when there was no blood on the outside of the cup.I just want to say, if you feel like it might not work for you because your body is different or you have some type of condition, I would still give it a shot!!! My cervix is absolutely WRECKED. Doesn't even look like one. And this still works for me.NOT ONE DROP OF BLOOD OUTSIDE OF THE CUP. No leaking. Minimal pain. These cups should be given out to girls when they get their first period. These need to be the new normal.

Surprisingly enlightening little cup.
Okay ladies lets chat. This is a set of menstrual cups one looks too tiny to serve any purpose and the other is smaller than average on first glace but hold on there. These little things are kind of amazing lets talk about why. First of all since i jumped into the cup world 5 years ago i have been told by almost every manufacturer that since i have had children i need that after child birth cup. Now in alot of brands that seems to be true. This is because those cups are held in place by being overly large. The walls of the cup are made thicker and more ridged and as a result they will infact stay in place they dont suction seal nearly as well because they are sooo stiff. This cup when compared to the normal after birth cups looks so much smaller but after a tiny water test filling my old cup and dumping it into this one i found that not to be the case. The top lip of the cup is reinforced while the body is allowed to remain thinner more flexible and the over all cup is lighter(i checked it on the food scale). Because it is built differently you use it diffrently. This cup should be inserted unfolded and pinched so it can seal. It may take a few tries to get it right but once you do it wont budge even if you move your bowles this thing is going to cling like a champ. On to the tab this is for checking placement and seal not removal!!!!! If you give it a good tug and it dosent move congratulations you have a good seal. To remove it pinch the base or use you finger to break the seal at the top of the cup. Now i wont lie to you when i opened the box i nearly tossed the littler cup i mean i have been told i have to have a big cup because i have had children. But being cursed with a cycle that starts with 3 days of spotting 7 days od heavy bleeding and ends with another 3 days of spotting i decided that i would try it on light days like the manufacturer recommends. Holy hell this tiny little thing is amazing! Placement is odd with a high cervix you have to be ok with your own body and be willing to do a little trial and error this thing is the best. Use it on the light days it is suctioned in so it dosent have to be occupying so much space once you find the sweet spot it is going to be a huge bonus. Lets talk about the included sterilizing cup this isnt for boiling!!!! Any one who used a bottle sterilizer knows it uses steam. Clean your cup with any antibacterial soap to clean it at the end of your cycle when it is time to use again fill the sterilizing cup to the first line with water drop in your pre-cleaned cup pop on the top and microwave for 3-5 min. Yes the lid will vent but the steam will kill all the bacteria you may have missed. IF YOU HAVE HARD WATER OR THERE IS CHALK in your water supply or you use a water softener a fine white powder will appear when you steam your cup rinse it off but it is not harmful the texture of the cup and the method of sterilization allows you to see the impurities in your water on your cup's surface lots of big name manufacturers talk about this in their trouble shooting sections. Totally harmless. This cup should be used as close to your cervix as you can comphortably place it that may lead to panic in some people this WILL NOT GET LOST/STUCK you just need to break the seal the little tab will not be useful in removal pinch the base of the cup and twist and pull. Done. For the price and the freedom to use a cup based on my body not my age or birth status i give this cup 10 stars there are no groves or seams to make you tender it cleans well and is so much more comphortable than cups i have used in the past.

Excellent suction, but not sure it's a fit for me
First, the positives. It arrived fast. It The build quality seems solid. I love, love, LOVE the colors (it's what first caught my eye). I also really appreciated the little cup to steam them in the microwave rather than having to boil a huge pot of water to disinfect them. (So convenient!) And the price ($10.00) can't be beat. There was a bit of a learning curve to getting it in place, especially since I'm obese with only so much flexibility. (I had to lay down to get past the curve of my pubic bone). However, with the aid of a little lube (I used Jo's H20) it slid in and popped open with no issue. Plus, once it was in there it was definitely in place. A little tug gave me the rather uncomfortable sensation of suction on my cervix (not fun). Now for the cons. This was my first menstrual cup and sadly it wasn't as glorious as a lot of women make it sound. I'm in my 40s and never gave vaginal birth (I had a medically necessary c-section). I have a relatively short birth canal and I'm also a lifelong pad user as I found even regular tampons to be too 'dry' when I was a teen. I heard that's less of an issue with menstrual cups so I thought I'd give it a go while I still have a few cycles to test it before a planned beach vacation this fall.Unfortunately, I could feel both inside me. I have really short periods (just four to five days with only two of those days being heavy flow) so I didn't get a lot of time to really test it. I'll give a another go my next cycle because I will say I had nary a leak while I was using them. Hopefully it was just a case of me not getting the position right because they worked great. I just couldn't stand the sensation of feeling them inside me for more than a few hours at a time. As it stands I might have to use them only when swimming. (The only time I use tampons).Still, if you're looking for a somewhat firmer cup this might be a win for you. At just $10.00 I figure it's well worth it to give them a shot. Even if it turns out they simply aren't a fit for me I'm still happy with the purchase, because they worked well enough at stopping leaks that I know I want to keep trying Goldilocks style to find the one that's just right.

Buy this cup!!
Okay so these are great for the price. I’m new to cups and so I didn’t want to spend $20-40 on a brand name one, when I wasn’t even sure I would like it.But these are so worth the money. And it came with two cups, so it will be a long while before I need to buy more. These are definitely worth the price! Plus it comes with a sterilization cup and a carry bag.So if you are also new to cups, you need to do a lot of research and maybe watch some YouTube videos and read lots of reviews. And you’ve really gotta be comfortable with putting fingers inside yourself. Just gonna put that out there. Also do not get discouraged after one or two failed tries. It took me two cycles before I was good enough at placing and removing, and was comfortable to leave my house wearing the cup. Now I feel 100% secure with it. But it took practice. The first couple times it took a while to get the insertion right, and getting it out was difficult and messy before I learned how to take it out properly. So you need to mentally prepare yourself for that.A couple things to keep in mind, from my personal experience ...Kegel while inserting. It will help get it positioned right. When you remove, it helps to bear down like you’re pooping. Try to get a finger up there to push the cup into itself, breaking the seal and also to reduce the size before pulling it out. The first couple times I didn’t do that right, and it basically popped out in its fully open position, which was NOT pleasant. It’s a learning process.Keep in mind that if you have a decent poo with your cup in, it’s going to feel like your cup is coming out. My body tried to push the cup out and when I was done I had to reposition. It doesn’t happen every time, but just be aware and pay attention to that.Another thing is that some people say a cup reduces their cramps. This isn’t the case for me. The cup actually made mine a little worse, but I’m still getting used to it. I feel like I have a pressure in my belly, and the cup makes me have to use the bathroom more. However it’s a trade off I’m willing to make because of how much cleaner I feel. The cup is great once you’re good at using it. I’ve experienced NO leaks. None. And it’s amazing that I can work all day without having to change my product. I literally wear it all night and day. I take it out first thing in the morning to dump it and clean it. And then I do the same thing in the evening after work. That’s it. So yes it takes a few minutes each time to do that, BUT now I never have to worry about having an emergency at work and having to run to the bathroom to change my product. And I also don’t worry about leaking in the bed overnight. It’s amazing. So if you are here because you are thinking about trying this cup, DO IT. It’s only ten bucks and if you stick with it, it’s well worth it.

These are amazeballs
My sister in law told me about these and I was skeptical at first. My first thought was gross, really? Second was, but they look HUGE.So let me elaborate on my experience:The sizing for this pair is small and large. Small being for women who have not had children and/or are under 30. Large being for women over 30 and/or have had children. I’m over 30 and have had children. I decided to go against the grain and try the small first, I have a light flow. It was kinda weird to insert at first, there is definitely a learning curve. I went with the U fold technique since it seemed to be the most common. It took a few try’s to get the cup inserted and angled correctly, but once I got it, it was awesome. You don’t feel like you’re wearing it. After the first day, I had no issues inserting/removing it. Second day I decide to try the large just to see the difference. Even though it’s slightly larger, it fit the same and was comfortable to wear. You can pee and poo with these inserted and they stay in place. When removing, it’s actually less messy than removing a tampon. You have a nicely contained little container and not a used tampon swinging in the breeze on a string.THESE DO NOT LEAK! It’s so fabulous. I will never go back to disposable products again. I mean how great is the fifteen year life span of these things? If you do the math, instead of spending $6-12 a month on tampons and pads, (lets go in the middle and say $8 a month x 12 months = $96 a year if you’re rounding down, $96 x 15 years = $1440!) you spend $6 on these, $6 / 12 months = $.50 a month, $.50 / 15 years = $.03.... so yeah. No question. Some tips:When inserting the cup, you actually have to put it quite a ways up there. The stem should sit just inside the vaginal opening, there should be nothing physically sticking out.Once inserted, it helps to get the cup set correctly if you kind of wiggle it side to side slightly. This ensures the cup opens all the way.To test whether it’s properly placed, after the “wiggle” gently tug the stem. If the cup moves downward at all, it wasn’t in right, remove and try again. If you feel a slight resistance but no movement, push back slightly and call it good, it’s in there right. To remove easily, feel for the stem and gently pinch the bottom of the cup and pull down, being sure to keep the cup upright. FYI: There will probably be a suction sound which can be a little embarrassing in public restrooms, but if you pull slowly, it’s not loud. Then just empty the cup into the toilet and wipe it out to clean it. I use the enclosed silicone cup to sterilize mine at the end of each day.You can’t go wrong. Plus you get to be one of those people who are cutting down on land fill waste and helping with sustainability and all that.
