Great value for a fraction of the cost when comparing this tool to the authentic “tool”. However, if you use it occasionally for a repair now and then, it’s great. If you have repeated use requirements, say 200-300 terminal crimps in one session, your hand will be sore. Also worth mentioning, there is no adjustment/compensation for the different wire gauge terminal sizes for crimp pressure on the terminals. The tool ratcheting movement requires the same travel in order to release, regardless of the wire gauge. This means that a 16 AWG will require significantly more effort to reach the release point as compared to a 18 AWG terminal. “You can’t adjust or compensate the squeeze”, great tool though, I would certainly buy this tool unless I had production runs.

I used these just the other day for the 16-20 gage and they worked perfectly. Very tight connections and ohm tested them against a soldier fitting and it was identical. Haven't tried them on larger barrels but there was wiggle room, so I would think the larger ones should fit as well. Already paid form themselves in one day. I used the expensive ones while working as a mechanic and I couldn't tell any difference in the crimping from these to the more expensive ones.

I use this several times a week at work on Deutsch connectors terminating wires usually 18-20 awg. Its crimps are perfect and needs no adjustment.

These are great crimpers for the price. I used them for a one-time crimp of a Deutsch connector (DT series, 16 gauge) for a harness in my car. They are 4-point crimp not 8, but the crimps are solid. Overall very happy and I highly recommend these over expen$ive Deutsch crimpers, particularly for occasional or "hobbyist" users like me.

I used a more expensive tool that does the same thing this one does and I find that this one is easier to use as the handles are shorter and is handy to get in tight areas, and has the same leverage as the other one with longer handles.
