I'm not sure if it was the product or my application process but the stain color was not consistent.

One of the worst blotchy stains I’ve ever used. The colors shown on the can and in the listing are completely misleading. For example, “Traditional Cherry” is actually a very dark brown—nothing like the light rosy-brown tone they depict. Don’t waste your time or money on this product.

I LIKED THE INTENSITY OF STAIN THAT COULD BE DILUTED IF NEEDED FOR WOOD THAT ABSORBS BETTER LIKE PINE SO FINAL TONE COULD BE MADE TO MATCH THE HARDER ASH WOOD.
