Have purchased this multiple times! I love these hot chocolate discs. They make excellent, rich, hot chocolate.

The media could not be loaded. This chocolate tastes like MUCH better quality than the typical store-bought. That is very clear. It's rich and flavorful, not gritty. There are subtle notes of spice. We added a little chili powder because we like it spicy. Each disc makes one mug of chocolate. This was a big hit with the Mexican chocolate lovers in our house!

I love this brand of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Ordered the Vanilla and I was sent the Dark Chocolate. It was alright but it was not as good as the Vanilla. So I added Vanilla Extract and it was delicious.

So these are pastilles of hard chocolate that have to be melted in your hot milk. I shaved them into small shavings so they would melt faster in my milk heater/frother. It worked very well that way, but I'm sure just melting it in hot milk on a stove burner would also work well. The flavor of the chocolate is good, although I was expecting to have a bit more spice in the mix, perhaps some cinnamon. One thing I did notice was that the chocolate leaves some 'grounds' in the bottom of your cup. These grounds are pure cocoa nib grounds, which means this is the real thing, made directly from the ground nibs. You don't see that very often. Overall a good product, if a bit expensive, and it could have a bit more spice to improve the authenticity. I will note that the package I received was apparently either old or had been exposed to some heat along the way, because there was white coating on the pastilles.

This is a bit pricey but it truly makes an amazing cup of hot chocolate! This is certainly one I have purchased several times.
