RENEWABLE HEAT PRODUCTS HB-15 Hot Bricks (15 Pack)

I was in the process of testing many wood stove "bricks" to compare burn time and heat output. all are about the same, not equivalent to real firewood, but they do the job when outside temperatures are moderate( 40-50 F).do not over pay for these products, they all are about the same when it comes to heat output and burn time. that is what really matters if you are supplementing your home heating with a wood stove.

These are decent but I've experienced better results from another brand at approximately the same price. Haven't had any waxy smell mentioned by other reviewer. Main problem I've had with these is they take quite a bit of air to burn inside my wood burning insert. I've found these work best for me when mixing them in with regular firewood as opposed to solely using these blocks by themselves. Once lit they do burn hot and last longer than I expected.

Product is good but it is so overpriced. 5X cheaper at the hardware store.for the exact product.

A little expensive and the shipping is crazy, but the product is good.

I bought a 4x4x4 palette of these last year to be mixed with wood for my first year with a wood stove. My wife complained of wax burning type smell often, blamed the bricks.Just started fire again this year. Sure enough terrible plastic waxy type smell. Changed to our wood no smell at all. Its definitely the bricks stinking out the houseThey also dont last nearly as long as wood. Just fall apart once they get going, Not a good product
