Good sound, but has issues
After using this for a while, had to change my review. The front Tweed panel is not attached, and always falls in. Also it takes 2-9volt batteries, and they wear out, in just a couple hrs of jamming!! I used the expensive Duracell too. The vox I used prior required 4-AA batteries, that would last for months of playing.

Very impressive!!
Freakin Awesome!! Came today, opened it up and couldn't believe the quality. It's built great, exact material as my large Orange rig and sounds really cool! The tuner is a great feature as well, I also couldn't get over the weight! I have a micro Marshall and it has Nothing on the Orange. I promise if you're looking for a nice little practice amp with greats looks and sound then spend the $100 and feel good about yourself \m/

Orange Microcrush = Microsound
Not very impressed. Real thin sounding little amp. Battery life is terrible so you better spend the extra $20 on the power source....now you are in over 100 bucks - so do yourself a favor and add just a few more dollars and get an amp that has a real sound to it....go Roland or Vox. This little thing stinks.

Portable Practice
Having bought the original Orange Micro Crush a couple of years ago, I was intrigued by the Stereo version. I have quite a collection of the smaller battery powered amps (Marshall, Vox, Fender, Epiphone, DanElectro, etc) that provide interesting recording perspectives when miked. You should never suspect that this amp will replicate an Orange Tiny Terror, or any other similar full-sized amp. None of the amps in this category from any manufacturer do that (although the Marshall original tiny amp has the best simulated Marshall tone when recorded). The tuner is dead on, easy to turn on/off, and the controls are solid and work as they should. The stereo version, at 6 watts power, has a great clean sound, and it is LOUD!!! As with any transistor amplifier, the distorted tones just do not sound like tubes, so that should not be an expectation. One item that truly separates the Orange micro amps (both original mono and the new stereo version) is the speakers and cabinet construction. Most small battery powered amps use small speakers with very small magnets, so they will easily distort. When combined with a plastic cabinet, distortion and buzzing occurs at low volumes. Both Orange micro amps have a substantial, heavy compressed wood housing that are tolex covered with the original Orange basket weave speaker grills. These amps are heavy, and with the large magnet speakers (and I do mean serious speakers with big magnets), they sound great, all the way from clean to dirty! No other small practice amp in this category have speakers of this magnitude. The other reason this amp sounds great is the dual battery power supply, or the use of an 18 volt power adapter. This is twice the voltage of the other small amps, and because of this wide of primary voltage, you get greater volume that can be very clean. No other amp in this category has this capability. In addition, this amp has a stereo input for your MP3 player and a separate volume knob for that input. This unit plays backing tracks very well, or you can use it as a stand-alone stereo amplifier for your player! Lastly, there is a line out connector on back for direct connection to a recording console. I recommend miking the unit however. If this unit had a reverb unit, it would be perfect and top of it's class. No other amp has this solid of construction, a multitude of features or heavy duty speakers. As it is, I have the Stereo Micro Crush in a tie with the new Vox AC1R. This amp is for those who know what they want and understand both the limitations, capabilities and endless possibilities of this amplifier. And, in this class of small practice amps, the Orange Stereo Micro Crush delivers big time.

OUTSOURCED!!!!!! Made in China!!!
This amp is ok, but it isn't a true Orange amp (meaning made in England). The sounds are great on the clean settings and the built in tuner is always a plus too. My only problem is that this thing sounds terrible on Distortion settings and isn't good at all if you are into any kind of metal for that matter. For the price You would be way better off upgrading to a real amp with 10+ amps or more! For the price you can buy so many other great products, such as Orange's Crush 10watt amp (not recommended for metal unless you have pedals and accessories to alter and change the sound), a Fender Mustang (with usb connectivity for simple recording), a Line 6 Spider IV that offers tons of built in features, and the list goes on and on. All in all just save your self the time and effort and buy something else other than these knockoffs Micro crush 3 watts and 6 watts. They are just not worth it! Doesn't even come with a plug that you have to buy separately for ($15-$20). Even beginners shouldn't have to struggle with this piece of junk for an amp!DO NOT Recommend to any musician whether they are an expierinced player or not! Remember to add an extra 20 dollars in there for the cost of this amp if you don't want it to constantly run on batteries or even have the option to plug it into an outlet for playing.

Very cool product, gives a good sound for such a small thing.Pretty clean sound that works well with pedals.Includes battery's but could do with a power cable, particularly as it is 16v
