Battery Shackle - Dual Propane Lock - Perfect for RV Propane Tank Lock, Made in the USA by Certified Welders

It's really a quality propane lock for the price; however, the manufacturer has truly "cheapened" the presentation from what is pictured.Instead if the white powder coat finish, it's 'painted' with rubberized undercoating. Instead of the Master Lock described in the item text, it's a super cheap Chinese knock off lock.If they want to save money, why not offer a raw steel version so I campaign as I choose, or leave off the budget lock which I plan to replace anyway? They could reduce the price a few bucks and save themselves the manufacturing process trouble and instill a little more trust from us customers in knowing what we're really getting. Undercoating as a finish...really??

I was worried about my propane tanks being stolen from my RV while it sits at a seasonal campsite without me being there for weeks at a time. The door to the propane tanks on my RV don't lock.(This is the law)This lock came with 2 nuts to replace the wing nut. Make sure you use both nuts otherwise it would be possible to unscrew the hold down bolt by slightly lifting this lock and put a wrench on the single nut and turning the bolt with a pair of pliers. By using both nuts and tightening them together the lock can't be lifted high enough to access the second nut. The only draw back to this lock is you have to use two wrenches to change the tanks instead of a single wing nut. A minor inconvenience to protect my tanks from being stolen.

Product would not fit on my propane setup as corner hit propane tank where carry handle curls. Tried turning tank and putting lock on both sides. Had to use bench grinder to take off corner and now it works. Install caused lots of paint to flake off - paint job poor.

Having had one of our propane tanks 'liberated' before, this product adds another layer that a crook must undergo prior to 'liberating' another one of our tanks. Super easy to install and very well made.

Lets face it, this is WAY over priced but there's no competition so not many other choices. The cheap Master lock is crap, sorry. I replaced it immediately.The shackle works though and with a short hank of chain you can also lock the tanks to it for even more protection.

I must say, I was not sure about this when I received this as there was a mix up from Amazon. But once I spoke to the actual provider and the Amazon help desk it was corrected the same day. The supplier called me directly and shipped me what I the next day.The product was just what I needed / wanted. It is well made and even come with additional nuts that’s needed and a master lock.

Perfect to keep my propane tanks secure. I like the fact it is made in the USA. I will order other products from this company. Very well made!
