WarGames

About 15 years ago, this game was the most glorious bit of computer entertainment I had ever put my hands on. I'd never seen the movie WarGames, and frankly, I didn't care, but I got to build GIANT ALIEN ROBOTS and BLOW STUFF UP. Cheat codes made it hilariously wonderful. I don't know what there was about it... maybe just an early realization that somewhere, deep inside, I actually have an affinity for real-time strategy games with creepy robots and big explosions (why did I not play Starcraft??). But the nostalgia of this game has had me playing it nonstop for the last 48 hours. I could not find a TRACE of evidence that this game had even existed while searching the internet - I was beginning to think that it was all just some glorious, pixellated hallucination I'd dreamt up. Yet HERE IT IS!!Are you in the mood for some retro Win-98 gaming? Want to micromanage some horrible AI and watch your units get blasted while trying to figure out how to navigate around one another? Are you a fan of the Wilhelm scream? ...SHALL WE PLAY A GAME?Oh, and the packaging was perfect and beautiful and everything was pristine and whatnot. It was literally perfect.

Although I have yet to get it working on my modern PC (I eventually will) this game brings back fond memories of LAN play with my friend. The game was buggy back in the day but I really enjoyed it though it was a sleeper game compared to other games at the time. So I am gibing 5 stars because it was a hard game to find and I am glad this seller had it and shipped it fast.
