To make sure you have an exact fit, we recommend removing the current handle you have on your door, and making sure the copper piece behind the handle has that V Shape that we call a V Spindle. The mounting holes on the escutcheon plate are 1-1/2 inches apart. That is pretty universal, but measure it from center of hole to center of hole to be 100% sure. This assembly has a backset tubular slam bolt latch that measures 1-3/4" that is standard for the majority of bottom hinged and side hinged shoot doors. You will also receive two keys that are always keyed alike with the code CH751. This CH751 code covers 95% of all handles in the industry. Finally you will see in the photos the commonly used screws that are compatible for these handles and doors. This T Handle can sometimes be fitted with a different screw, but these screws are normally used in 95% of all applications. You can always use the current screws that are on your rubbish chute or linen chute door if they are different.
