Mental Combat: The Sports Psychology Secrets You Can Use to Dominate Any Event! (Stronger Brain: Stronger Body)

Terrible waste of money.
This book has nothing of value. It includes exercises like the one in "How You Can "Psyche Out" an Opponent": On the sidewalk, you draw yourself up to your full height and walking straight into oncoming foot traffic, make people move out of your way. "If they move aside to let you pass, you win. If not, try again." Page 104. I did force my way through the book looking for something worthwhile then trashed it.

Mental combat
Very interesting book. As a martial artist, coach and trainer, I have been practicing and applying many of the techniques discussed in this book for quite some time now. There is always more to learn though. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody interested in building a better understanding of the psychological effects that stress has on physical performance, and useful methods of training and controlling your mind. This book is filled with useful information, techniques and exercises. Well done Mr.Pierce!

Weak Punch Of A Book ...
Weak Punch Of A Book ... Quick, easy read, but I was hoping for more :( glad I only paid a few pounds for the Kindle edition, if I had paid more I would have wasted my money .. wasn't very informative :( in fact if it was a fighter it would have only lasted 2 rounds !

Exactly what I needed.
Bought it to help with mental strength and over come certain nerves in life and for future tournaments. Really good book and an easy read, nice start off to it all. Not too much technical jargon and no useless info so the point of each chapter is put across nicely and easily understood. Have since bought his other book ‘invincible mind’ to follow it on with and happy with that so far.

Pretty basic, nothing new!
Pretty basic stuff for anybody with any level of Psychology background. There are one or two useful points but in general nothing you’ve not heard before on bog standard management training courses. A bit of a disappointment really.

Useful and informative
Many interesting points applicable to sports as well as various situations in daily life.I appreciate that writing a book is a big responsibility and impossible to have a perfect end product. It seems to me that the book could have shorter while conveying the same information. Thanks
