Best coffee I have gotten on Amazon!
After getting too many bags of scorched coffe from that upscale big box store I turned to Amazon bnecause Honolulu is not a coffee town. We long since lost our 2 artisan roasters, and even when they existed I could not get the coffee I love, because laws meant to protect the Kona coffee franchise kept green African coffee ouut of thje state, and I love African coffees. I am what many would consider fanatical about coffee. We must have a dozen brewers so that I can prepare coffee to our liking and the circumstance. (I seldom make French Press as I am dashing out the door in the morning).I tried over a dozen roasters before I found one I was satisfied with which I could put on subscription. It worked pretty well for 10-15 years, and then..... they must have gotten too big because last month we got chocolate mint in place of our yergecheffe. (The thought of mint coffee turns my stomach... even more than the average flavored coffee). Amazon replaced it once, ad the next shipment had one bag of chocolate mint in place of 1 of the 4 we should have received. When they said they could not replace it a second time, I started my search again. Having purchased a lot of mediocre or outright bad coffee here it was not a process I was looking fgorward to. Up to this point I had not found a roaster who got Kenya AA right. (One sent us Kenya AB, and most roasted it wrong). Long story short, I finally found it here. The coffee was fresh, a medium to light roast, fragrant and had that distinctive winy aroma and taste. After all this time it is such a treat to have Kenya coffee done right. For those of you who know what Kenya coffee ought to taste like, this is the real deal. My husband immediately ordered some more :)Thank you Chiru! So so very happy to be drinking good coffee again!

inconsistant flavor profile/roasting of beans
The first bag was so delicious. I was won over with the flavors of this coffee. Sadly, the next batches were nothing like the first experience. I'll give it another try to be fair. If it doesn't taste like the batch that won my business, I'll keep looking elsewhere.

Kenya AA - I don't need to say much else
I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said. If you like your coffee and know what Kenya AA is, you owe it to yourself to try this. It's been a while since I had and I'm only sorry that I hadn't done it sooner. What's even better is that is came so quickly thanks to both the seller and Amazon. I normally just grind and brew my coffee, but I tried a few other things and whether it's a latte, cappuccino, or what else, this coffee just comes out great. I like that I can just brew it, pour it, and drink it without adding anything.Just a great cup of coffee, regardless of how you do it.

Good coffee
I really wanted to like this coffee very much it has a good flavor, but for me the roast was more towards veranda roast than a medium roast. It could have been more bold. This is however very good coffee.

Impressed
I am extremely impressed with this coffee. To be totally honest I didn't expect anything amazing for the price. I've paid $25 per lb. coffee that isn't as good as this Kenya coffee. It's almost as if it doesn't smell like coffee, but something better... Hints of dark fruit and wine, with a pleasant strength-- not bitterness.I personally use a French press and I've noticed that because the beans are so fresh and oily, they seem to grind faster in my electric grinder. Keep that in mind when you grind this...Overall I am very impressed with this coffee and I would (and will) buy again, and I highly recommend this to others.

Need to get the grind right and you will be rewarded
First pot tasted weak and then I realized these are some of the smallest, hardest, densest coffee beans I have ever seen. Bag looks like 12 oz. but contained a full pound. I make coffee by weight, not volume of beans and I found these beans require much finer grinding than usual to extract adequate flavor. I use a burr grinder, not sure how these would be with a blade grinder they are so hard and dense. Once I got the grind right, I found these beans make some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. Very complex flavors, smooth and subtle.

Best Coffee Ever!!!
Kenyan coffees are known for their high quality. So, am a fan of them. I came across this Chiru Coffee Connection Kenya AA and decided to give it a try, it did not disappoint. As soon as I opened the bag, I was struck by its rich pleasant Aroma. It was a great brewing experience.I usually end up adding some cream and sugar to my coffee but with Chiru Coffee, I did not have to add either. This coffee is full of fruity flavors and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I would definitely recommend it and I will keep buying it.

but this is some of the worst coffee I have ever had
Undrinkable. I don't know what all these other people are smoking, but this is some of the worst coffee I have ever had. This is a great disappointment because I have been looking for a great Kenya AA for a long time, ever since I had the best coffee on earth in a Chicago's Starbucks back in the late 1980's.I don't know if that coffee exists anymore, but this surely isn't it, even though it was described very similarly to that other Kenya AA. The first concern was that the roast was very light....it looked as though it were dusted with cocoa powder. You generally cannot get a full, deep expression of the coffee's flavor with a light roast.Kenyan coffee should be arabica beans which can withstand more roasting than Robusta, so a light (they call it medium) roast is a mistake for an arabica bean.Anyway, I'll be returning this stuff. Awful.
