Everything fits perfectly, came with extra hardware for you to mount anywhere. Variable speed control ideal. very quiet fan; speed control had indicator light. i have an old wood stove insert in my fireplace and wanted to boost the heat output. years ago i could have bought a ready made device to blow cold air in and have more hot air out but they are not made anymore. so i just used this handy fan to be the air pusher and built a funnel from flashing. works fine

I bought this fan to insert in one of the "wings" that extend from a window air conditioner so that I can bring fresh air into the bedroom on cool nights that don't require air conditioning. I mounted it along with a fitted piece of screen into a hole I cut using gorilla tape and the installation worked perfectly....for about 4 days. I then found that the controller that allows one to vary the fan speed stopped controlling. It would only go full speed or stop. Another two days of this and even full speed required a great deal of fiddling with the knob. This persisted for a month or so until even the fiddling failed and the fan no longer worked. I looked up the vendor and phoned them directly. The man I spoke to apologized for taking a bit of time to locate my order and explained that they were in the process of moving from their old location to a new one. Despite the confusion, he located my order and after verifying my address, told me he would see to it that a new controller would be sent by USPS priority. I asked if he wanted me to send the faulty one back and he said that was not necessary. Within an hour, I received an email with the tracking number along with his apology for the faulty part. Talk about AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! The fan is really well made and I suspect that the controller problem was a random gremlin, since it appears to be well made and of good quality.

I received this fan for the purpose of cooling my enclosed entertainment center. It had been getting very hot and was beginning to cause problems with my electronics inside. I was able to cut a hole in my back wall and install this fan without a problem. The screws contained inside are quite long to accommodate different thicknesses of wood. I could probably cut them shorter now that it is installed, but I have not yet since it's hidden behind my entertainment center.The fan does include a speed control, but I believe it's simply controlling the voltage to the fan. There are only two wires connecting to the fan, not a third for speed control. It works well, except you cannot use half of the dial as the voltage gets too low to spin the fan. It is extremely quiet when set to about half to 2/3s speed. Up to about 3/4 speed is acceptable if you have noise elsewhere in the room (Air condition units, fans, music playing, etc) but is noticeable in a quiet room. Full speed is loud in a quiet room, but is easily disguised by the sound of the television or music. I usually keep it around 3/4 speed and it has kept the electronics at room temperature and pulls all the heat out very efficiently.

I'm using this to keep a tube amplifier cool in an enclosed space. The quiet fan that's not speed controlled was annoyingly noisy (it wasn't really that noisy, but easily heard in a quiet room), so I upgraded to this speed controlled fan. It moves plenty of air at it's quietest setting and still cools the amp very well. So the non control fan is quiet, but this one is really quiet so if that's important, spend the extra money!

lasted me long time. good quality . i added carbon filter to one end. for fume extractor. been using it for 9 years and still going strong. i recommend.

I installed this in the basement near a glass block window vent. When finishing wood projects I wanted to expel the fumes. Very quiet and the variable speed is nice.

Bought this fan for a duct I was making for my pc. While the fan itself is nice/heavy duty feeling, there's an obvious buzzing/electrical sound that it makes while in use. What's really annoying is the noise goes away at higher speeds so its something with the speed controller or how it handles incoming voltage. I emailed their customer support and they responded quickly and sent a replacement right away but that had the same issue as well so I just gave up on it since its an obvious design flaw somewhere. Other than that the fan does work, but really wish it was quieter. Still gave it 4 stars since it is completely functional and the customer support was quick/easy/nice.

This is the forth AC INFINITY fan I have ordered but the first with the speed controller , the fan itself works great as always but the controller could have a better range , by that I mean that you have to set the controller to the max setting and then turn it down to your desired speed but if you go down below 50% speed the fan will struggle to keep a constant speed as it will slow down to almost stall and then speed up again but that is the nature of these controllers if you need better speed control you need to get Variac Transformer but those are expensive so overall for the price of this unit it's good but not great for speed control , also if you have this fan on a timer you will have to go through the above process all over again .

So easy to install and use. I use it for my gas fireplace. The unit is plugged into an electrical box that turns on with a light switch, so this device is perfect for what I need it for. Price point is perfect.
