Well it works as a white light. If you happen to want to access any of the extra features it has, you have to have the app, and the app does not work with android. I messed around with it for over an hour, hit the forums, and found out all the people having my issues have android phones...AND the issue has been around since they were new, and the company doesn't look like they are going to fix it. As well, the build quality on this is really weak. Lots of warped kiddie toy plastic. The side mount screws go right through, so you can crush the light emitter board just by tightening the frame with the plastic thumbscrews. Overall this is exactly what you would expect from a china import. Don't expect more, and don't buy if you are one of the 90% of the world that doesn't use an iphone.

Delving into the world of video casting, we needed to have proper lighting akin to studio lighting but didn't want to spend a bomb. We needed it to be wirelessly controllable as many have recommended that be a feature you shouldn't skip out on given how convenient and often it'd come into use. Setup was straightforward and controls are intuitive, basically it's a just a download of the app and consequent setup and away you go. You can adjust from afar the colour spectrum needed and the temperature. After a few test shoots of both video and photo this feature along was worth whatever the difference in cost.There are two modes of use with the first mode is colour temp with a two thousand L range in brightness, and the second being the hue and saturation. Either by the app or the physical knob controls on the unit itself, the method is the same and equally easy to use - just adjust as needed to match the environment of shooting you are looking for. The LED life expectancy like most leds will pretty much outlast the usefulness of the unit itself. There are a good number of number of them so the lighting and colour produced is very uniform and spread out. The casing itself is made of aluminum that helps it, along with the fact that LEDs are such power misers, keeping the unit cool even after some prolonged use. You can either plug it in via the included AC or use a third party external battery for outdoor or complete wireless use. All in all a affordably way to best mimic full studio lighting to get just that colour and brightness you are looking for.

These are great for those looking to load up on lights (or buy a few) and don't have the money for those more expensive options. When you are ready, you can upgrade to the better options (these guys sell those too!) and keep these for backups or fillers.I especially love how easy they are to use! You can control these completely from the back of the light. There are two rotating knobs on the back to keep it simple and clean looking, one for brightness and the other for temperature (hot to cold). Pressing the temperature one switches to hue mode for a full RGB range. There's nothing too it.They have a very professional look to them but at an amazing price!! They are compact, and lightweight makes for packing up and transporting from one garage to another a breeze!I love these GVM RGB lights! they help me get great video effects! thanks to these light we now can get great diveo effect inside the video/photography box! they are simple to use and very bright, the app control helps me change the lights without moving the subject by accident, all is done from my phone!So far, we really like these lights. For their price, you get a pretty decent amount of features and they come with a everything you need (including the batteries), and they are pretty bright. The app needs function, but you may never find yourself using it anyway. It's a good product, from a good brand.

I ordered this as I wanted to use it for my video conferencing. I can't speak to the accuracy of light kelvin, but I can say that I am happy with the light. I used parchment paper as an additional diffuser as the light was quite "harsh". That said, I have not suffered from any app connectivity issues, however, I can't speak to a multi-light setup. It has been in use daily and is reliable.

Loving this light!!! it's really helped improve the quality of my live streams.Very powerful light that is fully dimmable. It provides a very nice professional result. Because it's also an RGB light it's a very versatile product. Runs with supplied power adapter or with batteries (not included). Barn doors are a great plus to control the lighting of your scene. Great value too, at this price you usually are lucky to get a decent white LDC panel, this one also is full RGB for colour effect.
