Beyond a 5 star.
Years ago I heard of this company after eyeballing some of my associates' packs and accessories. Upon researching some or their products, I was thrown aback by the price. After going through several common packs and perpetually agonizing over their faults in design, materials and workmanship, I sprung for the FAC pack. Upon opening the package, I was instantly confronted with a product of such superior quality, that I was embarrassed by my choices of packs in the past. I thought of the countless uncomfortable to miserable hours spent using common packs of lower prices. The unending frustration of all the shortcomings of their design, materials, workmanship and functionality. The quality of DESIGN!, MATERIALS!, WORKMANSHIP! and FUNCTION! of this Eberlestock FAC pack is unlike anything I have seen in a pack since the early 80's. Nowadays, too many companies simply toss allot of compartments and Molle webbing onto a hastily designed pack and call it good. Everybody wants a tactical looking pack, but virtually none are up to the actual task of use and abuse. Not so with Eberlestock. This FAC pack is designed to be lived in and become a part of your body, not like some alien creature clinging to your back and perpetually torturing you. I was very pleased how the internal frame system held a load and put the weight directly onto my hips. Even after several miles, it does not sag, lose shape, or settle onto my shoulders. Gone is the need to perpetually readjust the pack for comfort. My posture has notably improved whilst hiking as well. I love the fact that there are not a boat load of stitched on compartments. I can put on accessories where I want them, and if I want them. I can arrange this pack to be trim and slim so it doesn't hang up on rocks, twigs and limbs. Or I can put on several accessories to meet the needs of a longer, or more complicated outing. Basically, buy a common pack and suffer endlessly - maybe even quit getting out altogether. Or buy a real pack and enjoy every outing every time!

Serious pack for serious folks.
Very, very high quality pack. I've used it extensively by now for hunting and backpacking, and everytime i load it down to capacity. Very comfortable and durable. I can't speak too highly of this product. If you're reading these reviews, just pull the trigger. You won't regret it.

Well made, confortable.
Saw this pack at SHOT Show 2022 and order it a few weeks later. Well made, comfortable, lots of space. Will be using this for back country trips and as my carry-on on the place on vacations. Pricey, but seems well made and I like the way it is designed. Time will tell on durability.

It's comfortable and easy to adjust to any preferences
I use this backpack more than any of the other seven or so that I have, and I use this one the most. It has proven to be the most versatile and modular pack I've had. It has also been the most rugged and durable. It's comfortable and easy to adjust to any preferences. It fits over a full size plate carrier/chest-rig without hassle. The internal straps and divider make it easy to distribute weight and cargo at a fly. I can fit a full size ballistic helmet with ear protection and other cool guy things attached plus a fully loaded Haley Strategic D3CR 7.62 with some space to cram skittles n other cool guy accessories. Then I still have this huge lower area at my disposal that I like to shove random things that I think I'll need but probably wont like a pocket chainsaw, or one of those lifestraw things(who can't find water at the range) and other objects that perpetuate the image of me being super prepared for when Red Dawn actually happens. Anyhow. This ruck is the bees knees and if you don't have one you suck and aren't very operator. Hell, I think I remember reading that those cool ass Air Force TACP bruhs use e'm so nuff said

Awesome bag
This was my second eberlestock bag. My first being the X2. I really like the potential of this bag. My first trip out was a 5 mile in 5 mile out 2 night trip on an established trail. The trail was moderate difficulty mainly due to several fallen trees that we had to go over and around. The pack was very comfortable. I had no back fatigue at all. I had a minimal amount of shoulder fatigue after the trip, most of which I attributed to chopping wood all weekend. The main compartmemt of the bag doesnt have a lot of give. Its pretty solid so you cant really squeeze any more space out of it. So its nice that it maintains shape, but would be nice to fit something a bit larger inside. I added a 3 liter pouch on the side with molle strapping and attached my bush knife on the opposite side with molle. Between the 3 liter pouch and the bags compartments I had more than enough space for all my gear plus food and water. Along the sides of the main compartment are full length pockets. These are great for packing longer thinner gear. A fishing pole, smaller rifle like a .22 or such, tent poles, I put my axe inside one, head out unfortunately. The compression straps are absolutely useless as compression straps. The bag just doesnt flex so theres no need to compress the interior contents. However they are fantastic for lashing more gear to your bag. I attached my tent to one side and my jacket to the other. Over all I really like the bag. Wasnt quite as awesome as I had hoped. But it was still pretty awesome. If it was a little bit cheaper I probably would have given it 5 stars.

Wrong Item
I ordered the F3F FAC Track for use with a radio. I am not sure if I was sent the wrong product or this is just a new model. What ever the case the pack that was sent is not compatible with a large military radio as the pictures show. Very disappointed as I ordered this for a deployment. I guess I should no better and not order from a third party. Will order directly from eberlestock next time. I already have several eberlestock packs and love them but this is a disappointment.
