Love 101
Nookie by Anieshea Dansby is an account of a misunderstood teenager, who is looking for love in all the wrong places. Living through abandonment, abuse and devastation; what is a girl to do to turn her life around?Joy has a picture perfect life to those on the outside looking in, but in reality, this is far from the truth. Joy's father is never home and her mother is a functioning nut case. While trying to put on a brave face and finish high school, the family moves and she loses the little comfort and security she had. Making new friends and relocating is hard on everyone, but Joy feels the pain more when her high school sweetheart moves on with someone else. Heartbroken and alone, Joy is trying to pick up the pieces of her life when she meets Kevin.Kevin is an older guy who owns his own photography store and befriends Joy, but when she puts Kevin in a bad situation all hell breaks loose as he tries to defend himself. With no where to go, Joy is left to roam the streets, hungry and homeless. She calls her friend, Tanya in hopes of finding somewhere to live for the time being.Tanya is running with the wrong crowd, and gladly invites her friend to stay with her and her drug dealer boyfriend, Shawn. Could Joy's life get any worst? With endless nights of drinking and smoking, Joy has lost all focus on finishing school and getting a job. This book is filled with drama, graphic descriptions and young girls who make you want to grab them and shake some sense into them. I recommend this book to all the young teens out here who feel that their parents are too strict, cause believe it, it could happen to you. Stay tuned for part II; I cannot wait for the sequel.Reviewed by: Cheryl HAPOOO BookClub

Avid Leo Reader
This little book surprised me. I bought it on a whim because of the reviews. I have to say the main character Joy was sneakier than I thought she was. In the beginning I found Joy to be very naive when it came to her decision making. In the end she had me thinking hmmmm was she smarter than I thought she was. I have put in my order for the second part of the book. I want to know if the power of the "nookie" will win in the end or be the death of her?

Nookie by, Anieshea Dansby
The theme of this novel is for 'young adults,' which made it somewhat difficult for me to get into, and the face that the novel contain a lot of errors. A full review will be posted on my blog and Goodreads.~LW~Update, Oct.4,2013:As I promised to follow through with a complete overall review of "Nookie"I really don't like giving low ratings on books I read, or critiquing other authors work, but just because I don't like doesn't mean I won't. --And yes I used the word 'won't.' I think this book has the potential to be greater than what it is, and what it is is underdeveloped! I found that the characters was underdeveloped, chapter development underdeveloped, sub-plots okay, tension predicable, lack editing, and sentence structure.I'm not trying to be curl, and I hope the author doesn't take offense in this review. I received reviews such as this and sort to improve my craft, and my work. Again I think the book has potential and needs some polishing.~LW~

I LOOOOOOOOOOOVED this book it kept me hooked from the beginning to it's shady twisted end.Joy came out the gate fighting. For all the bull she had to endure she turned into a force to be reckoned with can't wait to start part 2 had to stop and write a review first because it deserved 1. #Go Anieshea

trifling girl
So Ms lady was just as trifling as they came!!! It's a wonder how she made it as far as she did. I think somethings happened and I was like,,,how that happen? but it's fiction, right?
