Read other reviews that stated the glass was dangerous and smashed easily under normal weight, Salter was the brand used at home (glass scales too) and decided I trusted the brand enough to purchase a new set of scales of my own moving into uni. Considering I'm overweight as hell, these scales have certainly lived up to their standard. No cracking or strain from what I can see, weight is displayed clearly and quickly. Units are changed with a click of a button (located on the back) and remembered for each use until changed. I keep my scales stored away behind the cabinet when not in use and so have to reset/reorientate the scales each time they are placed on the floor again, this only takes 10 seconds max so they are ready to use quickly too, instantly if kept where they are placed and not moved. Allows me to do my weekly weigh in with accuracy and without fuss, what a set of scales should do.

Rubbish & waste of money! I can step on them, step off, then step on again and get two different readings within two minutes! The readigngs vary so much, 4lb heavier then 30 seconds later I'm 6lb lighter! I've tried them in various different places/floors around the house and they give a different reading every time even if you don't move them and keep stepping on them in the same position! I'm going to buy another set of mechanical Salter scales as they are far more accurate than the digital ones. Not happy with the purchase at all.

Doesn't weigh constantly or accurately. We're not talking a few pounds inaccurate but whole stone out. Took a sample of consecutive repeated weight tests, in same conditions over a two minute period. 10 different readings from ten attempts.Tried on multiple different floor surfaces as suggested in the manual.

Super slim, quite light and works.The black does show splashes and dirt but thats cause its right next to the sink - something to note if you care about that.Decides on your weight quickly and resets to off in a acceptable time frame. Not much else to it.I bought this to replace the john lewis basic scale that just kept breaking and would report multiple different weights when you stood on it 3 times in a row. This does the job

Almost a year with these and after initially reviewing them as seeming OK one year on I felt an update was overdue.I would NOT recommend them at all.They are grossly inaccurate and the readings and not consistent.Unless you can stand like a heron motionless you will struggle to get a stable accurate reading.I weighed myself 5 times in a row and each time it was different!Apparently, I also lost 0.5kg overnight last night whilst asleep. Impressive!Total garbage. If I could I would ask for a full refund and will certainly be contacting Salter UK.I gave 1 star only because I cannot leave zero.
