Really quick way to dip into loads of topics, good for those who are starting to learn more.Really well set out and includes all the key figures, timelines and developments in thinkings over the last couple of hundred yeaersP.s If your a more advanced in your studies i.e done a degree or some kind of course etc; explanations could present a basic, however you may find it a useful tool to discover new areas or concepts

Good book for students starting out with understanding ecology. This an abundantly illustrated book where the fundamental concepts of ecology are really well-explained with contextual examples. DK as usual has kept up its wonderful quality of reference books with this!The five stars are for the quality of the book.The book was however poorly packed by the seller, with only a plastic bag, and no padding. It was consequently delivered in a damaged condition, with a dent and scratch on the hardbound front cover.

Sturdy, quick delivery, the paper of the pages is super nice and the price can't be beat. I'd found it elsewhere at least $20 more expensive. Overall good buy!
