Tastes different than the supplement purchased from Thorne directly leaving me suspicious !

Can’t see any effect after 2 weeks, also the power form seems to be inconvenient and ineffective compared to pills

After seeing another review that the expiry date on the Thorne Magnesium Bisglycinate was either passed or was soon to be passed upon receipt, I checked my Thorne Magnesium Bisglycinate that was purchased about 2 months ago and noticed the expiry date sticker was partially removed. It did not show an expiry date-be careful when ordering from the Middle East.

I mixed 1 scoop in 150ml water and tried to have it after dinner, as prescribed by my nutritionist. I only managed to drink about a half. This product is sickeningly sweet (literally made me sick! 🤮) and has a horrible taste of monk fruit. The worst thing to have before bedtime - the sugar rush kept me up the whole night! Not recommended for those who don’t tolerate excessively sweet taste. I will not have again - shame as it was quite expensive and I obviously cannot return it…

I was looking for a good magnesium supplement. However the monk fruit flavor is terrible and artificial sweetener. I wish I could return as I did not expect flavor. Not pleasant !

I only need 1/16 of a teaspoon (scoop is 3.5 fifths of a teaspoon) so I only mix with water after it's in my mouth. It is super-duper-wowie-intense sour (from the citric acid) while I'm picking up the mug of water to chug it all down. After it's left my mouth with the water, the after-effect is pleasantly sweet (from the monkfruit). I might not buy this again. It depends on what's available (years from now) when I finish this jar. Perspective: 1/16 of a teaspoon is 6.25% of a teaspoon 3.5 fifths of a teaspoon is 61.5% of a teaspoon Therefore, I use about 1/10 of the amount on the dosage label.

I love this stuff. I take 200mg before bed each night. It helps me physically wind down and drift off to sleep more easily. I haven't tried any other brands of magnesium bisglycinate but I find Thorne products to be consistently high quality (if a little bit more expensive than the alternatives). Has a bit of a weird smell to it (kinda like gym socks?) but tastes pretty good—slightly sweet, fruity. Been using it consistently for over a year now and I've never slept better!

I’m so glad to have come across this product, having histamine issues and cramping. It’s helped with calming my system down and assisting me to sleep comfortably at nite. What a game changer this is incorporating into my daily supplement routine. Easy to use with no sugar, just monk fruit that doesn’t mess with the body’s insulin. Love Thorne products, such high quality, will definitely purchase again!
