Hitman's Journey Back in Time Paperback – February 5, 2016

Some people can become products of their environment. Some have the gumption, and willpower to design their own lives. Unfortunately, Ben was the prior example. What Prince said was very true. Children aren't bad in the beginning, the just imitate their atmosphere. When Ben was eleven, he was severely bullied in school, his grades suffered when he heard from his mother his parents were getting a divorce. His sister went through a devastating tragedy, and so did his father. Not to mention his mother. All that calamity marred his life, and, subconsciously, he couldn't overcome those events. Now I'm a comic book nerd, and this story vaguely reminded me of Batman; The Killing Joke where Joker tried to drive Commissioner Gordon .crazy by showing him his shot daughter in a dark fun house ride. He said you could go dark if you just have one bad day, but Gordon was strong, and didn't abandon his character. Ben had a little more than just a bad day, and his profession became the result. People always say that's a bad man. This book shows you why.

Super intrigued by the description of this book. I really liked it. Protagonist yet hitman Ben is a tortured soul from his youth. It seems the poor guy never caught a break. I personally thought this was a good plot. I don't see stories such as this every day. You have to be cautious of a few sensual details and some eff words lol but for me, I couldn't stop reading. I also particularly enjoyed the writing in the first half of the novel. I also found myself as a kid again enduring the hardships such as Ben did. I found myself laughing then rejoicing at certain parts. Once you read this you'll understand why this kid turned to the way of a hitman.
